  1. I found out that I might not be available to attend all three days of the convention. Will you be offering day passes?
  2. I agree. It's a Torchwood convention. While I love Catherine and would love to meet her, I don't think her appearance at a specifically Torchwood Con would be a good idea.
  3. I had been backing Sarah, I'm so sad she was booted off. So I've switched to Samantha. or Jodie. heh but Samantha and Burn would look great together
  4. Burn's doing Oliver! in London opening on Dec 13th. Is there anyway you could get him to take a day off of rehearsals?
  5. I love Doctor Who, but Torchwood is my favourite show and I'm coming over from the States specifically for a Torchwood convention and I would not like to see it get crossed with DW. OTOH, Jack is in both, Naoko's appeared in both, and if Eve attends the convention she's also been in DW, so really, we ARE getting crossover cast members.
  6. OMG! Amazing! Now we just need Eve and Burn and I will be a happy girl
  7. Not from Northampton, but I'll be in the "area" from October 15th on
  8. You should start a thread about it :) I'd go along, but since I'm sticking around for a few weeks, I don't know what my schedule other than going to the convention is.
  9. It looks like if you rent a class A or B car, the age is 21. Yeah, it's not really wrong, just different. I keep trying to get Tim to agree to let me drive, but he mumbles about him having a stick. and I just realized how dirty that sounds. Manual. There.
  10. eek...yeah...now leaving DC on Tues, arrive in London->Northampton Wed, and go to Cardiff Thurs sounds even better...lol. I'm so used to driving myself, taking a cab or take a metro/subway so I forget there are really odd schedules for things like trains and buses. blaaaa You could probably get a rental car. US passport holders with a vaild DL can drive in the UK...you just have to remember to drive on the "wrong side". I grew up taking trains everywhere, so I'm used to making a zillion transfers and it taking forever. I mean, it's worth it, but not when you won't have time to do what you want to do!
  11. London to Cardiff is easy by train, and it's about a three hour train ride. However, Cardiff to Northampton? three trains: Cardiff-bristol-paddington-northampton, and you'd hve to leave cardiff at 7pm and not get to Northampton until after midnight. So...might wantto re-think that and try to build in an extra day/night for that.
  12. I've used both sites before, and they're both super reliable. It's all e-tickets, so you just have to print out your confirmation. I usually always call too just to double check and the people I talk to are very understanding about it. Oh, and I went to Virgin's website directly and found flights for $622 non-stop JFK to Gatwick.
  13. wow! That's a lot better than the $912 I was looking at ((includes all taxes/fees)). Yeah, if you can get a ride up to NY, it's way cheaper. I'd offer to travel with you, but I'm headed in a few days early to visit friends and staying later to visit more friends. Also check obscure airlines. I think the airline my friend was checking turned out to be Air France or something. http://www.lastminute.com and http://www.cheaptickets.com are two sites I use all the time. Yeah Air France on priceline was like $60 more expensive...really I don't remember which airline I was looking at...lol. You're lucky you have friends there. I have friends in Greece and Ireland....that's about as close as it'll get. ^^;! Regardless I'll see you there, heh. Maybe. If I don't get lost in Amsterdam or Paris. I totally edited my post not realizing you had replied - From JFK on cheap tickets I'm seeing $680 total and on last minute from Newark $784 total The one is on Air India and the other is Virgin.
