  1. One small thing that IMDB doesn't seem to list is that George was also the director of the English cast when we did the most recent thirteen episodes of Monkey, including David Collings, Burt Kwouk, Miriam Margolyes and Andrew Sachs. So, not only is he a nice chap, he's also a very pleasant director to work with!
  2. Whatever happened to punctuation and correct english? 877621[/snapback] Abandoned with post-justification like "I'm just putting on an accent" or some other lame excuse. Would have been nice to have had some content in there too, I feel... Anyway, don't you also have another part-time coffee bitch?
  3. No, I'm afraid it's not a "legal claim" of anything of the sort. You've just quoted it, and it says "PLAN on turning up", not "WILL turn up". That holds no party to obligation under UK law. I'm not a SM employee, BTW, just know quite a bit about law. Comes with being ancient, I suppose...
  4. Umm, G-Mex is pretty large, or it used to be. I played there in the early 90s and it held twelve thousand people for gigs like that. I'd say that was a reasonable-sized venue for a Showmasters event. ;-) Oh and, as a born and bred Londoner, I happen to think that Manchester's one of the loveliest cities in England. So there!
  5. Ah that'll explain why you looked such a miserable git, I was quite offended. Hmmm, obviously the subtle 'having to hang on to things to stay upright' and having the complexion of a corpse didn't give the game away... The trouble is, anyone who really is ill is doing everything they can to NOT look ill. The ones who 'need a sit down' and 'ooh, I'm all faint' usually just have a cold. Especially the men. With a bit of luck I won't be ill at C8 and I'll be able to focus on who it is that's just zoomed past. Take care, -Mark.
  6. Mich hi, Yes I was at London recently. I came up and spoke to you (as I have done on a couple of occasions before...), but wasn't able to factor in covering you lovely people with the schedule of talks that we had to cover for LFaCC 3, sadly. :-( Email me and we'll see what we can do. Take care, -Mark. Doh! LOL!..Were you the guy that chatted to me near the 'non- exitent Val Kilmer' area? Hehehe... Yeah, that was me, shortly before finishing filming for the day and shuffling off to bed. I'd been really very ill in the run-up to the London gig. That was the first day that week I'd been able to walk unaided! Are you unable to come to C8 due to holiday time? Take care, -Mark.

  8. Umm, it's actually to do with filming the event. Even though it does have mention of costuming (obviously), it's not about who wears what, it's about who would be willing to participate in interviews and be filmed at the event itself. I'm really only likely to get the answers if the thread is initially in the C8 section, even if it does get moved later. Cheers, -Mark.
  9. Hi all, As most of you that have been to SM events know by now, there's a small film crew (us!) scuttling about, recording various aspects of the shows for future DVD release. Talks, interviews with the guests, dealers and attendees all help to build up a picture of what a blast the shows can be for all concerned. One of the aspects I'd like to explore in a bit more detail with interviews and a little bit of a feature for the C8 shoot is all the costuming that goes on. Since we started filming the events, back at the first London Film and Comic Con, I've noticed the huge amount of effort, thought and talent that goes into the outfits on display at SM events (hmmm, you could read that last bit in an entirely different way!). So, I was wondering if any of the costuming crowd would care to get in contact with me regarding the possibility of doing a few interviews around or prior to the show, and making sure we get a lot of footage of you and don't miss out on preserving your efforts for all to see? Anybody seriously interested can mail me at: riddley@btinternet.com and we can try to sort something out. Take care, -Mark.
  10. Make sure you get Michael Hurst along too, he's infinitely better fun to hang out with... ;-)
  11. Hi all, As mentioned elsewhere on the forum, once Jason has recovered from the spanking/pandas/drinking/fatigue/bar bill, he and I will sit down and work through all of the DVDs, and get them finalised as soon as is humanly possible. Bear in mind that there are hours and hours of footage to work through, covers and to design, encoding and authoring to do, as well as getting the things pressed and ready to sell. Then, Showmasters have got to let you all know that they're ready, which I imagine they'll do on the forums as soon as the test discs are passed. We're getting through them as quickly as we can, so bear with us all. -M.
  12. Get Kell to come and introduce us, and we'll have a chat at Wembley. If you've got anything you've previously worked on you could bring, that would be handy. -M.
  13. The LFaCC 1 DVDs have just LFaCC 1 stuff on - there's just so much of the talks! All the events will be on separate discs. I imagine, from the line-up of talks for LFaCC2, that there'll be at least two discs to this event. -M.
  14. Yep, that's one of us. Probably my brother David.
