Arik_Soong
This story is based on characters and situations owned by Paramount/ CBS. No copyright infringement is intended or to be infered Throughout the history of the Federation, we have been there. We have been there at the beginning; we will be there at the end. The seven of us have travelled the galaxy, met new friends and made new enemies. First contact with races are exciting times, they bring new experiences, but some do not go to plan. Things can go wrong, traditions may differ world to world but we try to give them the information they need before such a meeting. At the beginning space was such an exciting place, unexplored, an adventure waiting to happen. This was truly a time when we were sailing into the unknown. We may have existed at different times but our goal was always the same, to explore the vastness of space, too seek out new life wherever it may be. But we know there is always a price to pay for exploring the unknown. We know we must give our lives if the need arises, we know not everything in this galaxy will welcome us with open arms. Some of us know that for a fact, but we are compelled by our curiosity and our companions need to explore and expand. We seven have known many people throughout our lifetimes, we have cared for them, protected them with the best of our abilities. The memories we have with them last till the day our lives end. They are passed down from one generation to the other, our travels documented in great detail for others to reflect on and share. We span 3 centuries, 3 crews but many adventures through space and even through time. We have saved many people in our times and sacrificed ourselves for the greater good. But we are assured continuity, as our name is the pride of the Federation and it always will be. It’s a name we all share
Victor Van Dort
Nice story. I liked the first-person overview of many generations. I'm not a Star Trek fan, but I love your descriptions and obervations of the vastness of space being unexplored at frst, at once magical and dangerous. Well done!
