Latest Comic Guest Announcement - Peter Nguyen Attending: Saturday & Sunday ARTIST: Fear Itself: Black Widow; Bruce Wayne: The Road Home – Catwoman: Batman: Arkham Unhinged ALTHOUGH he made his comicbook debut in 2009 pencilling a five-page Superman story for DC's DCU Halloween Special '09, Peter Nguyen's second professional assignment was a six-pager that brought him into contact with a character that would feature strongly in the Hawaiian-born artist's career. Published in DCU Holiday Special '09, his Batman strip appeared at the same time as he filled in on an issue of Secret Six [#16]. Two issues of Gotham City Sirens followed swiftly as did a four-issue run of covers for Detective Comics and his first work for Marvel – an eight-page contribution to Women of Marvel Digital, a 2010 one-shot for Marvel Digital Comics. Nguyen ended 2010 by drawing DC's Bruce Wayne: The Road Home – Catwoman one-shot but his next major project – Fear Itself: Black Widow (another one-off) – didn't appear until late the following year. However before 2011 was out he embarked on Blue Heaven, contributing to five straight issues of that Image/EZD Productions series. Then it was back to DC for a three-issue run on Batman: Arkham Unhinged with a fourth issue following in 2013. After that Nguyen migrated to Batman Beyond for two issues before bouncing over to Batman Beyond Unlimited to which he contributed a 20-pager in #14. It wasn't until almost two years later that the artist – who also works in animation where his credits include Wolverine and the X-Men (2009) and Voltron Force (2011-2012) – next drew a comic. That was a 2015 fill-in issue of Marvel's Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy with a single issue of Wolverines following some months later. Nguyen's most recent work was back at DC where he illustrated an eight-pager in 2015's Convergence Batman: Shadow of the Bat.
