Latest Comic Guest Announcement - Nick Percival Appearing: Both Days Artist: 2000 AD; Legends: The Enchantment FOR three years after making his comics debut with a six-page strip in 1992’s 2000 AD Judge Dredd Mega-Special, artist Nick Percival was a regular contributor to the self-styled Galaxy’s Greatest Comic and its spin-off title, Judge Dredd Megazine, providing not only stories but covers as well. Then, in 1995, he left the world of comics to work in film and on video games while also producing paintings for Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering collectable card game and Upper Deck trading card sets. Even so he still found time for the occasional comics side project. Following a brief return to 2000 AD in 1997 his contributions to the medium were primarily covers, particularly for 2000 AD but also for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, a series launched by Boom Studios in 2010. Percival did, however, provide interior art for Dead of Night featuring Man-Thing – Marvel’s 2008 four-parter – and for Legends: The Enchanted, Radical’s 2010 graphic novel, which he also wrote. Much of his time these days is taken up with the creation of concept and production art for movies. Nevertheless he still makes the occasional foray into comics, primarily producing covers although he did revisit 2000 AD for a short run in 2014. More recently he painted a 10-page strip for a 2015 issue of Judge Dredd Megazine.
