Oh dear! That’s not how it’s meant to be. If the rules have been changed like that we should have been notified. Because it means I could get my gold pass rock up to a diamond pass guest pick up VQ 700 & whaltz in before any of the normal VQ tickets & probably before other diamond pass holders based on today.  Other cons are VERY hot on priority levels re tickets because they know you mess it up & people won’t play. I think we could do with clarity so we can make a decision as to what to buy in future.

On a non grumpy front the diamond pass goodies were excellent this year. Really well thought out and unique

I did have dp for Zachary Quinto, was expecting a poster as gift, was very surprised and very pleased to get a bag, some in ear ear phones in a star trek case.

Yeah I mean I’d appreciate clarity on the rules. Because if it’s diamond, gold & then VQ for autos from now on that’s fine but means I’m unlikely to buy a diamond pass again. Sure I’d run the risk the guests don’t get off diamond passes but by & large it would still pay for itself. But I’m assuming it was a mix up?

I had vq 8 for Gina i was not diamond or gold, the board said diamond only when i got there around 3pm, was told by the pit crew member that the gold were going through after the diamond,i asked  have the rule changed as it use to be diamond then vq and gold pass needed a vq to get an auto from a dp guest, they said yes, as long as they had a vq ticket they go through first, so i asked.. if a gold pass member had vq 250 and i have vq 8 they can now go in first for a dp guest, they said yes regardless of ticket number as long as they have a vq ticket.

In view of his unfortunate late arrival today is there a chance more photo shoots will be added for him tomorrow as I see he’s sold out

    thanks

Did he manage to make it today then, last i heard before i left his photoshoot was at 18:20?

i was gold pass and have to say the entry for gold pass was fantastic this year, did not have a bad meet with any guest, the blue shirts at the photo shoots i had were fantastic, the lay out of the photo shoot areas were good, i had 6 shoots on Saturday and the times for all of them crossed over with one of others, but still managed them all, the help i got at the peter Weller autograph queue on Saturday, we had paid already but he turned up late and we had to leave the queue for photo op and all the people i met and chatted too.

cannot help but feel the gold pass is slowly being phased out, first we lose the chill room, now we have no goody bag even though we were given a voucher to collect 1 and each year there seems to be more and more dp guests, i heard a lot of gold pass people saying it is now losing its value and the might just go normal entry and dp from now on.

giving out of the vq tickets, seems like each desk has a different rule, gold get in few minutes early so we can get lower vq tickets, but some desk will give you 1 when you get to them and others will not till the show officially starts, then you have Sam Neill vq tickets that were not even there when show opened and 1 big queue formed as staff went off looking for them.

the picking up of my gold pass and 2 dp on Thursday, i was told by a nice member of staff whilst queuing before entry that window 1 was for customers who were picking up gold and diamond passes, went to window 1, first person gave me my gold pass wrist band, second person did  not have my diamond passes so a third member had to go to another window to look for them, came back with 1, when i told him i had 2 he went back again and it could not be found, so they had to get me another 1.

queuing up for over 1 hour for Tom Bakers auto, let me just say this was not a problem, the length of time queuing, i would of stayed for as long as it took to meet this legend, but when you are queuing for over and hour and see someone with a disability band walk to the front to chat to a member of staff and get in front, again not a problem but watching him walk back up the queue get a couple of items from other people then walk back down the queue to the same member of staff and jump in front and get them signed and when this was pointed out by other member's of the queue we were told because he has the band he can go to the front,  then have 4 members of staff jump the queue and push in front of everyone else who had been queuing for over an hour  to get items signed was just a joke. i even took a photo of it.

do not take this bad i loved the whole event these were just a few tiny things and i will be back next year and if i think it still has value will be gold pass again.

would baron's court be easier for me from Euston? or am i best just to do it the way i planned?

i just prefer it as its less busier and just as easy, you just walk down the street to the olympia, the kensington station gets really busy and very congested at times for my liking

From what  I can see, I'll have to do Milton Keynes > Euston (I hope my ticket allows me to do that!), then on the Underground Euston > Victoria > Earl's Court > High Street Kensington.  I assume I'll have to pay for the Underground.

Does that all sound right to any Underground users?

im from mk i normally get off at barons court and walk, its about 10 minutes
