Not all Torchwood fans like BG though and there'd not really be anywhere to put em apart from where we have the parties. I know what I'm trying to say anyway. I like BG btw. I just think if you want to see them at a gig go to TJs or something? Not all of us Torchwood fans like Hen and Stag parties but we have to go along with it

You should never ever feel like that. We're all fans - how many times you've seen someone is a complete irrelevance. The convention should be about a group of people who all share a similar interest hanging out, having a great time and making lots of new friends - its not a place for people to indulge in games of oneupmanship or try and prove that they are a "bigger fan" than someone else. Children of Earth may not have been my personal cup of tea but it seems to have bought in quite a few new fans who are finding these sort of events for the first time and I think that's great. Thank you it's nice to see people who see us like that, rather than to be 'out done'

Thank you for this! I've seen the sort of competitiveness you mention in many fandoms over the years, and have never been a fan of it. I would love it if we could stop it here and just enjoy the event. I completely agree. I'm a new fan and sometimes I get worried about saying the wrong thing, or haviung a different opinion because of this. Or even asking a question which may be obvious to other fans.

Just a question are we also getting more guests pre COE? I'm not complaining about the guests, I'm just curious!

I personally never could stand those costumes, I find them horrible but I guess that's just me. I guess I'll just not dress up (or down?)

I think saying that about the guests is wrong, but the themes are a different matter. Besides I like the Sat theme. But I don't think the other 2 are Torchwoody enough to say they are Torchwood themes.

Because, as you and everyone else knows, the original party themes topic was closed. It was closed by Jason, from Showmasters i.e. the people that run this board. If that's what he wants, then obviously the moderating team are here to enforce his decisions, so please don't give me any attitude over it. Whatever you believe you're entitled to, Jason does have final say on here I'm afraid, and everyone needs to respect that. Now please, if you want to discuss party outfits then go ahead, but it's clear that this will get locked if you continue on the same path that has already been discouraged by those in charge. I'm asking nicely, so I hope you all can be reasonable in return. It's not the themes now that are offending me, it's the fact we're not allowed to have our opinion. I'm not having a go at you, your just doing your job, but I do find we're being treated a bit unfairly with our posts being deleted. I've been online whilst it's happening and seen the posts and no one has been horrible about it, just asking if it could be changed because the majority so far does not like the ideas. It's honestly making me not want to come anymore. If I hadn't already bought a ticket, I probably wouldn't do now.

Personally I don't think kids should be coming anyway, I don't think they should really be allowed in under 16 in my eyes purely because it is an adult show and discusses adults issues, kids under 12 shouldn't really be watching it.
