  1. I'd also like to see some of the older who guests, as well as some of the rarer star wars signers.

I'd love to meet Karen Allen, or anyone from the raiders films.

One suggestion though, don't list the guests to early, as cancelations are bound to happen, as seen at the last event, i realise you've got to get interest in the event, but advertising months in advance and then having most of your guests cancel is surely not a good advertisment

  2. While its a good idea, you would need to have insurance for anything like that, public liability insurance, which enables you to do demos etc on the public, if you did it without, you would be leaving yourself and the venue liable for any damage caused, by allergic reaction etc.

  3. Well it was nice to meet a few of you, i was the guy with the freddy torso, i had a stall over the weekend.

Robert was great, really down to earth guy, his wife was lovely too.

Andrew bryniarski was also great and spent time at the stall, he also took a couple of my leatherface masks

  4. Thanks for the replys, after reading my posts i did come across a bit harsh, i apologise for that, i didn't mean to say you where all kids.

I have worked for free on a number of projects, as a make up artist its customery to do a few projects for free to get your foot on the ladder so to speak,so i do understand that part of it, but do you progress any further doing this sort of thing?.

I attended the first one and had a good time, few problems but i am sure they where only teething problems, this time i will be there as a dealer, so i expect i will see a few of you there, please no flaming torches or lynch mobs.

  5. Thanks

The reason i asked was that my daughter would be interested, but i am not putting her through that for partial reimbursement.

I don't understand why proper wages are not being offered, the amount of money being taken in on the door and money made from the guests attending, not to mention the dealers, it seems to me that the people doing it are being taken advantage off.

And please don't think i am trying starting something, i don't want a gang of star struck kids replying about how great it is to do it for the experiance etc, my point is someone is making a hell of a lot of money of these events, and unless i am missing something getting people do do the hard work for next to nothing.

And yes i have over ten years experiance with promotion and crewing at various events in various positions, so please no come backs on i don't know what i am talking about.

  6. Well i will be there with a friend selling masks freddy gloves etc, so the horror side of things is covered!

The first one, there seemed to be a lot of the same sort of thing, not much variation, hope its a bit different this time

  7. I enjoyed the last event, few points same as everyone really, queing was nuts, far two many little hitlers who were rude when asked questions, toilets were a disgrace,i have a disabled friend who usually comes with me to conventions, i am glad i did not bring him to this, i can't imagine trying to get round with a wheelchair!!.

And the price of ink these days, charging per autograph is shamefull and just an excuse to fleece fans, i know this is showmasters and not the guests, and i understand a charge is needed but come on!!!.

Lots of great guests when you finally got to meet them, and a good selection of stalls, i will try the next event and see if the problems are sorted out.
