    Wich so many guests going to LFACC and especially as there are such big names as Patrick Stewart, Bill Nighy and Domonic Monagham going to this event, I was wondering (as usual) how early people thought they might be arriving to the event.

     

    I know the event is over a month away, but it never hurts to be prepared, hmmm?

    Lois is doing a private signing in London in late August - I'd love her to make it to LFACC while she is here .....

    Anyone else think the Bond reunion is a bit lacking at the minute ?

     

    Yep, but i think a big Bond guest is in the offing!

     

     

    yeah i agree all a bit slack at the mo

     

    hope they can pull something out of the bag soon

     

    still good to have mr lazenby got him before but i manage to get diana rigg to sign 007 for me last year will make a nice double

    would be gr8 if jane seymour or james wiseman to attend

    yeah ihave mr lazenby and yeah was just sharing that dame diana rigg did sign 007 4 me out side the theatre last year

     

     

    Lazenby has done loads of signings and im suprised some people havent got his autograph lol - Diana Rigg i dont think would do one - Joseph Wiseman wouldnt do one he hates signing but Jane Seymour is a possibility - She used to sign ttm/via her website for charity

    Further to my earlier point, the hotel is very cool.  Not cool in a pumped up adrenline fanby way like Collectormania, but cool in a Sinatra/Clooney/James Bond kind of way.  Can anyone remember the video for Fat Boy Slims "Weopen of Choice" single...?  Its just like that.  If Christopher Walken strolled into the lobby and started tapping his feet, he would not look out of place. 

     

    So to be in this hotel, meeting film stars and hunting for autographs, kind of makes the whole event just that little bit cooler, smoother and slicker than anything else which may attempt to come close.

    Can't tell you how much I loved this guy & looked on him as an unsung hero for years, til one day I travelled far to see him in a play and he........went into one about ebay!  :o  Never saw that one coming......... it's a shame. Still love his work but can't look at it in quite the same way... :lol:

     

    But that's just me, as far as I know he's absolutely fine/lovely at signing shows, conventions etc (different situation) so it'd be worth it!

    That's a shame - I had heard he wasn't a fan of ebay ! Tenth Planet brought him to Collectables last year and there was a big write up on their website beforehand with do's and don'ts. Another guy who insists on personalisation !

    I took my father out to a rather posh restaurant last month, it cost £85 for the meal.

     

    As nice as the meal was, what do I have to show for it a few weeks later?  Something to treasure?  Something to pass down to my children and their children?  No.

     

    So.... paying £90 for Buzz's autograph was nothing in my eye.  I will remember my encounter for the rest of my life, and my children and grandchildren will inherit a piece of history!

    Well me and my gal had a blooming fab time didnt encounterer any travel problems , air con probs, food and drink problems, got all the correct photos of guests and brought some of my own, managed to park, got really hammered with joe robinson and guy hamilton

    enjoyed room service, got the bus £3 ok fare

    fab up graded room, sat back and enjoyed the cOmpany the food the wine and the laff

    FANTASTIC WELL ORGANISED WEEKEND
