  1. Hi,

Sorry I've been looking to see if this has been answered anywhere but my computer keeps crashing so I'm just gonna go ahead and ask it anyway.

Do people think getting there for 3pm tomorrow will be okay to meet Kai Owen and Matt Rippey and should I be able to park at that time?

    Cheers,

    Heb

Oops just found the answer to the queueing question sorry.

  2. Hi was Gareth David Lloyd busy on Saturday please? Does anyone have an idea what time I'd need to get there on Sunday to be pretty sure of getting his autograph?

Also how much was his autograph?

Sorry for all the questions, it's just I'd pretty much be coming just for him and can't really decide whether that's a bad idea or not.

  3. Just to clarify a few things:

It was UIP (United international pictures) who were supposed to have a stand not Universal. UIP are supposed to bethe UK distributors of the movie.

I signed up for the Serenity list but was told that it was just a mailing list for news on the movie not a screening sign up list.

Universal are [promoting Serenity in the US even though it is out only a week before we get it.

  4.

If she was a bitch, she would have done the same as Jordy Chandlers family and taken him for money.

I think I read somewhere that getting a prosecution in this case would help a civil trial for money later but I might be wrong.

Whether on not he was guilty I don't think they could prove it beyond reasonable doubt in this case and therefore he had to be found innocent.

But I possibly agree with the 'no smoke without fire' comment but this family was just too dodgy in previous cases to press a conviction (although I'm not convinced he was actually guilty in this case anyway).

  5. I heard Frank Skinner talk on B&SU about the time Gene Wilder was on his chat show.

Gene's wife was in the dressing room wearing a surgical mask, and generally creeped Frank out. Apparently he has this thing about germs. If his "people" were telling him not to shake hands, surely he would have obliged the odd one here and there regardless ? But to flatly refuse EVERY handshake ?

my sister is like that. she works in a cinema and instead of taking people's money she will ask them to put it on the table *if they dont take the hint* she has wet wipes next to her in case some one touches her

Would plastic gloves not be easier?

  6. Well they had an advert in buffy magizine saying they were in talks with him to appear. If the talks have fallen through then they can tell us but if they're still in talks then I understand we have to wait.

They don't need to tell us who they've been in talks with at all, it creates all sorts of issues.

The point is they have! In buffy magazine they said they were in talks with Joss Whedon.

So if there is now definitely no chance of him coming I'm asking if they'll tell us? I don't see what the big deal is.

  7. Hmmmmmm, I've always kinda understood things that untill a guest is announced, they won't be there...

As soon as Showmasters announce them, that's when to rejoice...

  8. I'm sorry, I'm really struggling to see where the discrepancies are. It seems all parties acted in a perfectly decent and above-board manner with regard to contracts in this case, and all the stories tally.

The difference in the two stories is the fact that if the flights thing and withdrawing offers is true, then the other con organiser left these vital facts out and is letting people on his board blame Adam , if Showmasters' quote is true.

The way he posted his statement was clearly meant to cause people to infer he had been hard done by.

Whether or not he was treated badly is between him, Showmasters and Adam and his agent. But there is a discrepancy there in what he's letting people believe (which is fine if it's true) and what Showmasters say happened.
