  1. Have to admit Harvey Stephens would be a let down.

I guess everybody is entitled to their views:

However for people who are fans of classic horror, and I mean classic,

the Omen is a legendary film. Harvey Stephens is a non existant horror autograph

for collectors and if the guest is indeed Harvey then rather than a let down I think

it would be an amazing announcement.

I think the guest list that Dave and Garry are putting together is nothing short of

    outstanding.

  2. Dufresne is right: Look at the Autographica website:

It says YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This is the line on all the original Omen posterS when the movie first came out nearly 30 years ago.

Greg Peck and Lee Remick are dead, as is Pat Troughton, David Warner has done signings before. it must BE

    HARVEY STEPHENS 666!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ANTI CHRIST IS AMONG US!

  3. Awesome yes, but hardly the headliner that Dave said this guest kinda was ……

That's exactly what i started thinking, very good guest but hardly a headliner as he really has not did anything else in his career. But dave did say 2 guests where being announced on wednesday, although we have only been given clues for one!

I disagree slightly. If it is Harvey Stephens it will be amazing. This man has never done a signing before and who knows maybe never will again. The Omen is one of the greatest horror films ever without doubt. Signed photos of Harvey as Damien probably don't exist and so this would count as one of the rarest horror signings ever.

  4. Her return is making me all sentimental -- The Time Warrior was Liz's first Dr Who story back in 1973 and it is the first Dr Who story I can remember (I was 3 years and 10 months old). For star wars fans they should take a look at that story some time -

it features a very young Jeremy Bulloch playing Hal who is very handy with a bow and arrow . . .

It will be great to see Sarah again!

  5. I hope this is not innapropriate -- If it is Mick please remove the thread --

I just wanted to let everyone who collects autographs to know about a new site

which is run by two highly respected dealers (both UACC registered) -

    www.isitreal.com

Everyone interested in combatting fakes should take a look and contribute if appropriate.

    Steve.

  6. DO NOT DRY MOUNT ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS!

You will seriously de-value them. To preserve posters you should have them professionally

paper or linen backed. These are acid-free and will preserve your poster as opposed to dry mounting which will erode and destroy. There are several movie poster galleries in London who can professionally back your poster.

  7. Just to give you an example: a well known dealer in the states has a tippi hedren

rod taylor double signed from Hitchcock's The Birds listed for $999, approx £550.

I know a dealer here who is registered with the UACC who has an in person double signed the same but priced at just under £100. The variation between dealers is at times staggering, and I'm talking genuine dealers, not the ebay fraudsters.

  8. The question is:

How did Shatner's stay on when he did the underwater scenes in Star Trek 4 The

    Voyage Home??????????

Did Scotty use some engine room glue on him?

And was it ever mistaken for a tribble?

I believe Ted Danson has been known to wear the occasional syrup as well.

Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Brian Donlevy. . .

  9. The Shining is THE BEST. Also Scatman Crothers getting the "axe" in that one.

Anyone remember watching Jaws the first time and the head falling out of the boat to Richard Dreyfuss' surprise?

  10. An often forgotten role of Julian's was that of Colonel Breen in Hammer's

Quatermass and the Pit -- one of the best British sci-fi movies --

Julian meets a rather nasty death in that one!

Also he was Scaroth in DrWho and The City of Death.

So plenty of interest for sci fi fans with Julian.

Also his wife Isla Blair was also in Indy and the Last Crusade.

  11. I would love to see Michael Lonsdale flit across the channel and come to Autographica.

He would be a great Bond guest (Hugo Drax) and he also starred in one of my all time favourite films Day of the Jackal. Anybody else like to meet him?

  12. I would like to suggest someone who has been a stalwart of British tv and cinema

for over 40 years -- Geoffrey Palmer:

    Credits include:

TV: Dr Who (Silurians / Mutants)

The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin

Fawlty Towers (Kipper and the Corpse)

    Butterflies

    As Time Goes By

    Blackadder Goes Fourth

    Film: Fish Called Wanda

    Clockwise

    Mrs Brown

and for Bond fans he played Admiral Roebuck in Tomorrow Never Dies.

I think he'd be a great guest for Autographica.

  13. Can I just say that a couple of months ago someone was selling fake LOTRs

signed posters on ebay and claiming to be a UACC member (not registered dealer

I must empasise) and within a matter of days the UACC kicked this person out so

it shows that the UACC does work and will kick out the cheats.

It is heartbreaking to see people bidding on these ridiculous CAST SIGNED BY 36 LOTR

on ebay, the people selling these should be taken to court.

I wondered Mick if you'd seen these posters on ebay: is there nothing that can be done to stop these people: I mean cast signed by 36 with a $9.99 opening bid!!!!

What could you expect to pay for a real one, I reckon four figures.

  14. Hi

I'm relatively new to the board but have been a lover of horror for many years.

I have been a collector of horror autographs from the Universal studios era right

up to the modern movies for about 6 years now.

I just wondered what everybodys favourite or scariest moment from a horror movie was. Here are a few of my favs not in any order:

    1. The hand coming up from the lake in Jon Voight's dream in Deliverance.

    2. The 'Help Me' appearing on Regan's body in the Exorcist.

    3. Gregory Peck opening the tomb in The Omen to find a jackal's skeleton.

    4. Lew Ayres getting carried away under the frozen lake in Omen 2.

    5. Donald Sutherland's scream and finger pointing a the end of Invasion of the

    Bodysnatchers.

6.The Alien bursting from John Hurt's chest in Alien.

    7. Shelley Duvall looking at the typewriter in The Shining and seeing 'All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!'

These are just a few of my favs, all from the 70's which is my favourite horror era.

    Steve.
