Any idea of when we might be getting the themes, at least? It's what, seven and a half weeks to go? Costumes can take time...
-
I'm *coughs* bringing my BBC Chronicles of Narnia boxset for Camilla Power to sign.
Yes, I'm showing what age I am here. But I loved that series!
-
I'm Erin, she... answers to Sparks.
(I just about remember my own name most days... I think that's all that can be expected of me)
*laughs at you* yeah, I answer to that. Pretty much exclusively.
-
I decided that pretty much myself today, too.
Yay! So glad more people are deciding to come - we HAVE to keep this event alive. It's such great fun.

Freema Agyeman, James Moran, Peter Capaldi, Richard Briers, Ben Foster

Unfortunately it doesn't really make it much easier. With less groups there is just more of a chance of a clash
You'll manage brilliantly, Too Tall, as you always do!

We are pleased to announce our latest guest for The Hub 4
COLIN TEAGUE
Colin will be taking part in usual the photoshoots, autographs and talks but he will also be holding a directors workshop!]
Fantastic! Was great having Phil Ford at Hub2, a director will be awesome! Thank you!

ANTHONY LEWIS
Woohoo, fantastic! Looking forward to seeing him again, he was just lovely at Hub1!

It took a while but we got there eventually!!
TWISTED FAIRY TALES
Fables and legends may seem "stranger than fiction" but there's always a grain of truth behind the old fairy tales, as Jack found out in "Small Worlds". So what lies behind those other fables of old...?
Lol, well et_muse and I are doing twisted fairy tales, at least...
-
Screw it, I'm buying my costumes. Twisted fairytale for one night, Torchwood India for another, and the usual 'night out in Cardiff' for Sunday.
I'm with you on those themes! :YAHOO:Maybe we should just pick the themes between ourselves.
Well I've now bought my twisted fairytale costume (or most of it!) so no matter what they come up with now, I'll be a fairy on Saturday night...
-
*peeks in hopefully*
Still no word
*sigh*

Finally getting round to this

2. Burn Gorman
3. Freema Agyeman
and
4. Lucy Cohu
5. James Moran
6. Joseph Lidster

TBH, if we don't get anything until after ET... I'll have long abandoned the idea of following the themes anyway. That would leave us with maybe 6.5 weeks left to pull together at least 2 if not 3 costumes, which isn't long at all if you have to buy and make stuff.
Thus why I'm now making my own decisions and putting together costumes for myself *shrugs*
-
Still nothing? *sigh*
If there's nothing by Saturday I'm just gonna do my own thing, lol.

Mauled by kittens, in my case
My cat ate my homework once.
No one believed me D8
My cats have never done that, but one 'helps' me by sitting on my textbooks...

I rather like the idea of maybe a WW1 theme (To the Last Man) or an Indian theme (Golden Age radio play)
Both of those have really caught my imagination - but to be honest, I don't care what we get as long as we get it soon!
-
There's a good chance of me wearing a brightly coloured T-shirt and dungarees to this.
Ditto *grins*
-
Excellent actress, would be great to see her at a Hub event - she would round up my Torchwood collection nicely.
Agreed - unless of course she comes to Hub4, in which case we're just greedy
-
To name a few, I would love to meet; Chris Chibnall, James Moran, Joseph Lidster, P.J Hammond, John Fay and Catherine Tregenna.
Just a few, then!!
-
Yeah that would have been mine. Thank you so much. I owe you both a drink at Hub 4 x
Lol, we'll take you up on that
-
Morbid Sparks, did I speak to you in the disabuled queue (queing up for the talks)? if it was you lovely to meet you :).
Redhead, faints a lot, clinging to non-fainting people to get me into talks? Probably lovely to meet you too, in that case!!!
-
And a BIG thank you to the person who handed in my photshoot card on the saturday morning, the chap I was able to collect it from when I asked wasn't able to point you out so I never got to say thank you in person.
That may have been me and etmuse - we found one near the far end of the auto room, with just one ticked off, and handed it in - if so, glad you were able to find it!

Thanks everyone for their thanks. I just try my best to make sure everything is fair for everyone and that everyone gets everything they came for. It I achive that I'm a happy man.
Adding my thanks to Too Tall and everyone - but Too Tall, I can't believe that it was halfway into the third Hub and you still hadn't seen me faint!!! Everyone else was just going 'oh, it's her, she's fine' (ie, 90% of the crew ) and you were so shocked and worried!!!
Still, thanks to you and everyone else for a really fantastic weekend. See you all next time!
Park Inn payment.

I paid by card and called them in February when no money had gone out, and was told the balance would be due on arrival.
