  1. Hey everyone

This will be my first convention so i'm a little nervous. I have a couple of questions.

I'm getting a train to Clapham Junction and then a train to West Brompton. How far is West Brompton train station from Earls Court? I was guessing the train station is the same place as the tube station but i wasn't sure. I don't like using the tube cos it freaks me out quite a bit :D

Also me and my mate wanna meet different guests but we're not really sure who will be most busy so we don't want to be disapointed. We wanna meet quite a few and it would be really useful if someone with experience of these events could make a list of which guests will be most busy and which won't roughly.

Thanks alot for any help you can give me :D

  2. On a side note, nice one about the spelling TommyT. It often irritates me as well to see how people cannot write or spell correctly anymore ! (now I'm just hoping I didn't make too many spelling mistakes myself, but at least I have the excuse I'm not a native English speaker :( ) )

Has the world got so pathetic and picky that we all have to worry about if we spell correctly  Honestly, it's getting crazy.

And some of you might like to take note of disabilities like Dyslexia before you go mouthing off about peoples spelling. For all you know you could be moaning at someone who doesn't even know they are doing wrong. So maybe just think before you post. I'm sure you're not all perfect.

    Ok rant over ;)

  3. These tickets are for die-hard fans and those who are happy to pay a premium for the advantages of being able to dispense with virtual queue tickets and being given priority at all the talks.

So you're saying that a true fan would pay the amount for the ticket  I'm sorry but it doesn't work like that.

Its like everything now days. If you have the money its fine, but if you are a hard working person with a family, an older person on a pension, or a student then you're completely stuffed.

It's segregation all over again. Its this type of thing that makes the rich snobs of the world feel above us all :(

The package however does sound very cool. I know someone mentioned earlier about maybe having Silver tickets.

That seems a good idea. The other year i went to Silverstone to see the Formula 1. The tickets for that are really expensive, so to make it better for people they split it into Gold, Silver and Bronze. That way every can get what they want and pay for as much as they like.

But anyway don't know why i'm going on about it cos i doubt i'd even be able to afford a silver ticket (if you decided to do one) and even if i could my mate wouldn't.

Would be nice to get hold of one of those Stargate goody bags though ;) Just have to hope that there are some SG guests announced soon.

  4. Great pictures everyone.

Can't believe that this guy has barely a mention on this forum

Martouf! I loved him  don't know why he had to die

  5. me and my sister are going together and we pretty much want to meet the same guests. Anyway i was just wondering whether we can pay for one autograph but each have our photo taken with the guest when we go up together?

I'm not sure if its aloud. I mean we don't really need 2 of the same autograph but it would be nice to both have a photo

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  6. Hey everyone

    my msn is MysteronChild@hotmail.com :P

I'm on quite often but sometimes i might stay away for a little while cos i have tons of college work at the moment *sob* so if i aren't around for ages then don't give up on waiting for me :o

  7. To be honest with you I have always arrived as the doors open or just after and have met all the Stargate guests I have wanted. I should imagine that Michael will be fairly popular this year but if you don't mind staying to the very end of the day the queues start to fizz away and die and people are just allowed to join. That has been my experience anyway.

Welcome to the board by the way dont be afraid to ask questions! Good to see another SG fan we have our section pop over there some time :P

Thanks for that and i've just gone and found you all at the SG section of the board

  8. Hi *waves* just thought i'd come and introduce myself to my fellow Tau'ri :P

My names Sarah and i'm 16 years old and come from Aldershot in Hampshire.

I love SG-1 and Atlantis, and my fave characters are Daniel Jackson and Carson Beckett. I also like other sci-fi shows like Star Trek, but my devotion lies with SG-1.

C7 will be my first ever convention thing and i'm dragging my mate along as well (cos she needs to keep me sane cos i will get a bit crazy)

My aim in life at the moment is trying to convert my mate into a Stargate fan

  9. Hi

I bet you're all really annoyed with us newbies and so many questions but i'm starting to get confused with some things :P

I'm travelling from Aldershot by train so its gonna take me like 2 hours+ to get to MK. I'm a bit concerned cos people are saying get to the centre as early as possibly like 8am. I was just wondering how does this make a difference when the doors don't open until 10am? I prob sound totally stupid but its not my fault, i just don't know what to expect.

Also i'm only really interested in seeing Michael Shanks and Chris Judge. Do you think it would be really busy for them? I'm a bit worried cos i've been reading some messages and its got me worried cos i don't want to travel all the way and then not get to meet them.

If i get there for 9:30am do u think i'd be alright at that time? I'm going the saturday btw.

I'm so nervous about it all. I'm actually so excited that i'm sitting here shaking  not good.

Anyway i think i'll be alright really. I just can't wait now :P

Thanks for any help you can give me and sorry if i sound really repeatative of what everyone else has asked.

  10. Hey everyone ;)

Less than 2 months to go now, can't wait.

Anyways i have a quick question. I've been putting together a stargate costume and its almost complete. The only things i need are the patches that they have on the sleeves of their uniforms. U know the ones i mean, the SG-1 patch and the Earth symbol patch.

I've seen them for sale on an American website but i can't order them cos i haven't got the right bank card. Anyway i just wondered if you could recommend any UK based sites. It would just be easier for me because i might then be able to put a mail order in.

Any help you can give me will be very much appreciated.
