  1. Maybe I will get there for 6pm then! Strange as my friend who pre-ordered for the OoTP was adamant there was hardly anyone there .... then again, she might not have been waiting outside Ottakers - it could have been WHSmith or Waterstones.

  2. I've pre-ordered at Ottakers, so I was going to be there for the midnight opening. A friend of mine did it for the Order of the Phoenix and said that only a handful of people were outside waiting, so I don't know about getting there for 5pm as mentioned on the first post.

So I'm planning on 10.30pm or 11.00pm, but can I still meet up if the queue's not too insane? I don't want to get hexed for looking like I'm queue jumping! ;-) I don't think I'll be dressing up though .... I'm not the world's greatest person with a needle and thread (or a sewing machine), but I'll try and find a black cloak just for fun :P

  3. wow thats pretty cool lol. ye rotk gave me goosbumps......but thats onli cause elijah was on the screen lmao. wow its amazing how they've changed over the 4 movies.

I know what you mean about getting goosebumps. Hubby thought I was crazy when I watched it at home on the net last night!

It's not until they show them film by film when you really do realise how much they've changed, especially Daniel Radcliffe. He looks so young in The Philospher's Stone now.

    Cannot wait until November!

  4. Kudos to him for doing the circuit for so long. A wonderful, kind and approachable man. But he deserves to relax back home in gorgeous New Zealand and recharge his batteries.

I'm sure he'll get tempted back out again after a year. :D

  5. Can I plead with Showmasters never to use Easy Cinema for a talk again. I know it wasn't your fault that the venue was terrible but I'd like to point out a few of the problems:

    1) the lighting .......... absolutely pants. :D

    2) the fact that the seating isn't raked (?) enough for people to see near the front, especially as Lawrence, Kiran, Sean and John were sitting down

    3) if they're sitting down, it would've been fine had they been on the stage

Guess I was spoilt last year (which was my first talk) as it was at the theatre, which meant miles better lighting (to the point where flash photography wasn't needed at all) and that they were raised up on a stage so everyone could see them.

Please assure us that you won't use Easy Cinema again unless the lighting is sorted and the people at the front who we're all there to see are sitting on a raised platform

It's such as shame because the talk itself was fun and a good laugh, just spoilt by the fact the photos taken were terrible.

  6. Someone said on here that the doors open at 7.30am, but looking on the Centre:MK's website it says 8.00am.  I'm going to park in the free parking opposite Brunches/BurgerKing entrance on the Friday and queue up at the Braids/Creche door.

From what others have said this sounds like a area to queue.  I've never queued before to get into the Centre.  I live in MK and it seems mad to me, but having seen the mayhem with the hobbits last time, I want to make sure I get to meet Sean Astin this time round.

I would go as early as you can. I'm going friday for Sean as i'm hoping it will be quieter. If the doors aren't open. just queue outside, sounds mad but i've got uesd to it since C4!! I work in the centre:mk so also find it mad to be queuing outside it!!

Cool, thanks tiggerbabe. I used to work in Saxon Court, and spent most lunchtimes in the Centre, but it's the door opening times that freaked me. I'm sure parking where I'm parking will be okay as well. Had a snoop around last week seeing if there are any signs saying not to park before a certain time like there is outside John Lewis, but can't see any.

Whereabouts do you work (if you don't mind me asking)?

I dont think there is a limit on the parking over there, especailly in the green bays that are free. Be\aware that the free spaces go very quickly with the centre staff.

    I work in the Creche!

What a small world! My daughter used to be in there every Saturday morning .... Julia with the red hair. I remember last year we were pouring over all your signed photos. I'll say hi if I see you around
