  1. Showmasters have essentially cancelled the contract (not the consumer) so the onus is on them to refund the ticket and any ancillary costs associated with the returned ticket...

Lol.. Do you think i'll get my original £2.50 I paid to have the ticket sent to me.... lol..... Just kidding.....

  2. Looks like a registered post to send it back.....

Luckily I took mine back to LFCC and got my refund there, but I do see where your going with it, having to pay recorded delivery to receive it and pay again to return it...... £5 is £5 at the end of the day....

  3. How about some CSI Miami or CSI Las Vegas or even CSI New York guests????

  4. Well on my Alex one, we're both glowing and on the Gates one, her white top is just this overly bright white shape, you can't see any texture or shape in it and her face looks very bright too.

Can you post a picture to see how bad they look???

My friend also had a shoot with Alex and his too was, as you say, glowing...

  5. Craig was amazing with everyone! he did a short last minute photoshoot on Sat but was having posed photos with everyone, even people who didnt want an autograph he was calling them forward for a photo anyway. He introduced himself and shook hands with EVERYONE! even if they were just accomanying someone else. Never heard 1 bad word about him :-D Bring him back to every event please!!!

Agreed..... He's the kind of person that makes me want to come back to events like this...

I have to say all of the guests this year were absolutely brilliant..... But Craig was the most friendly, even allowing the wife to touch his bum while a photo was taken..... lol

  6.

Area D photo shoot for Nicholas Lea - the photo shoot itself went great from what I could see so no problems with the actual shoot at all. But the photo itself when it came out - wow, I have never in fifteen years of getting photos seen a worse one.

Can you put the photo online so we can all have a look??

  7. I was in the queue waiting to get Mickie James's autograph and in the queue waiting to see Magnus was a severely disable young man in a wheelchair with his family.

Magnus came round from the back of the desk and had a couple of photos taken with this young man in the wheelchair.

Virgil called this man over and asked his family what his name was and he gave him a free autograph and posed for some pictures.

Now by doing this Virgin has gone up a notch in my book as at a previous convention (Not SM) he was downright pushy and was forcing his items on people who didnt even want them (My nephew to name one).

He just asked my nephew his name as he was walking past and he told him, he then put his autograph on a photo and asked my brother in law for the money for it.... He didnt even ask for autograph in the first place.

But as I said by doing what he did for this young man on Saturday he has gone up a notch on my list....

Just thought I would share this.....

  8. I got mine personalised shortly before 1pm so word must have got to him by 1pm. Sorry to hear that, but everyone experiences this from time to time. I did with Jeri today too and I saw her right at the start when you expect personalisations.

No personalisation from Kark but did manage one off Jeri.... Cant moan really...

  9. I was there until 3:30pm and i didn't feel it was over crowded. The photo tables were a bit of a mess but it wasn't helped by the people standing in front of them. It was a bit silly splitting the Gillian Anderson photos up on to different desks. Come on lets think and have a bit of logic here. Displaying photos, it's a simple thing. Maybe decide beforehand were they are going to go then have a sign up to say which ones are where. As for the people standing in the way, well all hope is lost for them.

Have to agree with Clarky and say we didnt think it was overcrowded... In fact we thought there was plenty of room to move about..

As for the photoshoot collection I was told to come back several times after so many minutes and then the photos would be back..... 4 hours 30 mins later they did eventually turn up, but what I hated was the crew had no Idea on what was going on with the photos.... A couple of time we were told they are at Collection Point B, got there and no photos. Asked staff on 'B' and response was 'No there not here'. Proceed to tell them Crew at 'A' said they are here 100%. Then I was told there still being printed in the back and finally we get them after they were actually printed off site in a certain brand photo packet.....

Why tell us a load of twaddle when they could just of said 'Aint got a clue, there being printed off site, shouldnt be too long'.. I could have accepted that but sending me back and forth and telling me to keep coming back 15 minutes after each time and telling me they were being printed in the back......

  10. When we went to get her autograph she had a little conversation about Heroes and her new film shes in called Forged..... all be it it was 10-15 seconds but she was polite and gorgeous..

Forgot to add she thanked us for coming , said nice to have met you and shook our hands....

  11.

Maybe the balcony should have been used for photo distrubution and each guest having photos have their own table with a sign above so we know who is on what table. All Showmasters need is a bit of organisational thinking.

Actually that would have been a good idea there was tons of room up in the balcony area..... They could have spread a load of tables around the area and fitted every photo on them...

  12. Yep...I had only 3 photo ops...had to wait well over 4+ hrs for 2 morning ones and leave my name and address for the other 2 pm one as I just could not physically stand and wait any longer... :(....I'm getting too old and too tired for all this now...it's too big and much more unmanageable...think LFCC is now a back burner over other priorities...... :(

I much preferred the older, quieter, with less guest days.... :(

Did you manage to find your Ben Browder one eventually DiscoDiva????

I have to admit myself and the wife were appalled at the way we were sent from pillar to post, and then some of the crew saying the photos were there at the other collecection table then going over to the table and then saying no there not here...

To be honest 4 and half hours to get a photo back was pretty poor in my book...... Yes there were a lot of photoshoots, but as some people above have pointed out there were too many photos sold in the first place to get them back to the public in time....

I was told by a crew member at MK18 when I waited over 4 hours for my Carl Weathers photo that they were going to have a shake up and the same problem wouldnt happen at this con.. Unfortunately it has...

You would think that with most of the printing being done at the con itself it would be returned to the collection tables pretty quickly..

Apart from this fiasco the rest of the con, in our eyes, was absolutely brilliant.... All the guests were fab and the friendliest bunch by far at a single con we have attended... Not one miserable face on any of them (And we met 15 or probably even more)

Will we be attending the next one in October???? Yes 100%, but hopefully something will be sorted out with the photo problems......

  13. Well why dont they give out virtual queue tickets of the guests that were not available after the online shop had closed outside while you are waiting to go into the venue?? At least that way you could go and get the rest of your virtual autograph tickets then return to the queue to pay for the photoshoot etc....

  14. I can see a riot starting for tickets for Karl Urban photoshoots....

Would it make more sense to start selling tickets outside the venue (People in the queue) that way it should cut down on the pushing and shoving.

    First come first served???

It was hell in the queue at MK at the last Collectormania

Just thought i'de ask the question..
