Very biased here - Gates!

Some seating areas where you can just sit and wait for your VT number to come up, instead of people having to leave the centre to find seating, this causes people to spend money elsewhere instead of in the con.
Otherwise fantastic con,............. oh I love the stormtroopers etc, great fun, flirting with a stormtrooper is great fun!

SM great event, we (myself and 5 other BonCers) had a brilliant 2 days. We only saw one guest (Gates) but it was great to see her and had a good chat.
Thanks

Thank goodness is all I can say!
This one has been a nightmare - it's my other halves birthday this weekend and it's been really hard to say to him "I'm going to London on your birthday". Yes I have invited him to come, but he really doesn't like these things and so you can't push.

I went to an autograph show a couple of years ago to meet a Star Trek star, and when we got there there were women who had appeared in Playboy. There was a warning over their stalls that they would only sign for adults, not children, okay fine.
However, I felt very upset that these people were there at a family event and had been given in a very prominent place (you couldn't miss them right by the entrance door) and so in your face.
I feel that these sort of guests should not be at a Family orientated event, I know that to some this may make me a prude but you try explaining to 5 year old what these women are there for and what films/programmes they have been in!

This is incredible - where's it going to end? Next you'll be saying that Captain Kirk is in Boston Legal!!

Hate to say it but "The Shatner" is in Boston Legal and up for an Emmy!

Next year is the 40th anniversary of the starting of Star Trek, any chance of getting the remaining cast, except Jim Doonan who is no longer able to do cons because of his illness, together?

Ever tried ebay or ebid?
I have several really great original photos bought from different sources there. You have plenty of time to bid on them and get them shipped at the lower rates if they are coming from abroad.

I don't think Patrick will be in the country for C8.
At an event earlier this year he said that he would be filiming X-Men 3 til at least the middle of November.

Watch mentioning hair pieces, Gates wore several wigs during ST TNG seasons 3-6.
The reason her own hair was too long!

I recently went to a con in the US and the group that I was with gave the main guest a present in the form of a cheque donation to their favourite charity, instead of all of us giving little meaningless gifts.
The guest was so touched that he thanked the group in person at the evening performance and it meant more to the guest and us.

My most treasured auto is Bob Monkhouse. My dad got it for me when I was child, he used to work for Currys in Dunstable and Bob regularly used to go into the shop on the High Street and order things for his house. One of dad's jobs was also to deliver purchases and regularly went to Bob's house and on one of the visits dad asked if he could have an autograph, Bob then asked if he had any children and dad said that he had 3 children and Bob signed 3 autograph cards, all with different messages for us kids.
So it was my first autograph and the fact that Bob is now dead it's more special.

First time I met Gates McFadden I was literally shaking and it was my birthday, some bright spark from the group I was with came up with the idea of giving her a piece of my birthday cake!
Well I nearly gave her a piece of cake right down her top I was shaking so much, she has never forgotten it, Gates now knows me as the "shaking cake" girl.
Embarassing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
