You can certainly ask the crew member on his VQ if this is possible but yes, definitely do it when it's quieter :)

I'm a starving student and as such barely have enough money to scrape together to get a ticket to gain entry to the show.

 

I've met Paul McGann before but this time I have something I want to give him. I've not got money for another photoshoot, or an autograph or whatever, and I wouldn't ask for either of those things. I just have a letter I'd really like to be able to give him, because he's done a lot for me, and got me through some hard times.

 

Would it be permitted for me to get the virtual ticket and join the queue to do this? Or would I be best waiting until towards the end of the day? i remember at Milton Keynes, by the end of the day, Paul McGann and Colin Baker were just sat around very relaxed, and I and two of my friends talked to them for about an hour, which is perhaps my greatest memory.
