  1. Will probably finally make my Captain America USO girl outfit, just don't know which day I'll be wearing it. That's one cosplay. For the remaining 2 days, I'll probably recycle one of the cosplays I'm currently working on, or will be working on the coming months. To be continued.

  2. What I also noticed, is the fact no one from SM's staff bothered to follow their own rules for Stan Lee's autographs. Gold/silver comic passes were supposed to give you priority queueing for Stan Lee -- but just once, as the 'SL' on your wristband was going to be marked. Well, no one marked our 'SL' on our wristband, and I'm sure we're not the exception. This opened up the opportunity for gold/silver comic passes to priority queue more than once for an autograph of Stan Lee (or even worse -- MULTIPLE autographs).

  3. Some people posted in this thread: http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84045

If it wasn't for the presenter, who did his best to keep us entertained, I would have walked out within 5 minutes. Thank goodness it was included with our Silver Passes, I wouldn't have paid 20 quid for this. No way. Everything went wrong. Everything. From winners not being present (understandable to a certain point - but none were present, except one!), to giving the wrong award to the wrong winner, to not even KNOWING who won while not knowing who was supposed to come pick up the award in the unknown winner's absence... oh my. And Stan's presence at the awards ceremony was limited to something like 2 minutes. I understand he was tired though, so I'm not blaming him at all...

  4.

The talent show started late (and there seemed to be some confusion over which stage it was on). I only caught the end of it but it sounded like there were a lot of people drop out so only a few acts took part.

Quite a few people didn't turn up for masquerade too. I think with the way the crowds were I wasn't surprised that people gave up masquerade in favor of a photoshoot etc. they had paid for. But still had good turnout and I met some lovely people in the queue to go on stage. I was also surprised how many people were in the appreciative audience.

Yep, that's the decision I had to make -- participate in the masquerade, or do my photoshoots :-S I picked the shoots, but I still attended the masquerades on Saturday and Sunday (just not the championship, sadly) for the most part! Didn't want to miss it :)

  5. I'm looking for someone who can help me identify this Deanerys cosplayer! We chatted in the queue before entering on Saturday, but I never got her name. And she was just in front of me in the Paul McGann TARDIS photo shoot on Sunday, dressed up as Amy Pond. Do you recognise her or even yourself?

  6. Great job on the cosplays everyone! I took many pictures of the masquerade on Saturday & Sunday! (sadly, not of the cosplay championship as we had to leave) As soon as I manage to download & edit them, I'll share the link where you can see them :)

  7. Oh sorry about the uproar for the DW group photo - I was still going to join you on Sunday to check out your costumes (providing I'm not busy somewhere else), just not appear on the picture of course haha But if we have 2 shoots, then even better! Saturday is my 'DW' day, and Sunday is my 'Marvel' day...

And thanks a lot for all the efforts in organizing this Namine :)

  8. Oh yes, would love a Dalek on the photo!!

And please let us know what they say - I'm not sure I'll walk around in cosplay all day, I guess I could dump my stuff at the bags storage location, but I not looking forward to roll up my frock coat in a ball and stuff it in a bag, especially if I'm supposed to wear it later...

  9. I've actually sent my pre-sign up e-mail this morning. For both Saturday and Sunday (with 2 different costumes). But if it turns out a talk/photo/whatever is scheduled the same time, and deemed more important to me, I'll just drop out from the Masquerade. Hopefully I'll be able to give my spot to someone else. I had to do that in Antwerp at the end of April, the cosplay competition was at the exact same time as the panel discussion with Colin Baker. Sorry, but Colin was more important to me, and it was a fantastic panel, well worth it.

  10. Hey everyone! Thanks LadyDeTemps for pointing me to this post! I'll most likely cosplay the Eighth Doctor (you can see my costume on my blog), and my hubby will possibly cosplay the Fourth... I just need to make sure I'll finish his costume on time, that scarf is taking forever to knit!! And we'd love to take part in the group shoot! (I joined the FB event, btw...)

I *might* also cosplay Peggy Carter from CA:TFA on Sunday, but again, it all depends if I manage to finish on time.

Not daring enough yet to enter the cosplay competition
