You believe we've been told lies? And what do Showmasters stand to gain by lying about any of it?
I find that really bizarre to be honest.
Fact is that the organisers can only go by what they are told. If they've been told that people are needed to stay on location and whatnot, then that's fair enough.
I would have to assume that their contact is slightly more direct with agents that yours? Obviously I have no idea who you are, and what you know about the show, but I struggle to believe you'd know more about whats going on than they would surely?
All I know is what I've seen. And I saw Yunjin and Michael in Heathrow airport on Friday morning, as I've stated previously. Showmasters previous statements already didn't make sense to me as far as the whole 'they can't leave Hawaii' thing goes.
Sure they probably do have more information.
But of course they have reason to lie: I'm sure it's better that they can't get guests through no fault of their own than through a failure to get them through money or other reasons that lie on their ends.
Perhaps my conclusions are bizarre to you: your blind loyalty is bizarre to me. To each their own.
I'm just calling it the way I see it.

There's going to be a discount? That sounds more reasonable. Because otherwise there is no way I could afford it otherwise.
I do plan to make the most of the convention, Nikstar, definitely.
I guess I'm most concerned because my best friend has also paid for this. I feel guilty because going was my idea. I don't want her to be disappointed when she finds that it was, in fact, a complete waste of money.
ETA: I stated why I didn't read as much of the section as I would have liked.
The lies I believe we've been told is that 'JJ Abrams wants everyone to remain in Hawaii'. JJ isn't involved in Lost anymore: he's developing his own pilot (Fringe) for Fox. And as I said, Yunjin Kim and Michael Emerson have certainly left the country.

Well to me it's a discussion. I'm not arguing with you, but I'm asking for answers from Showmasters. I think they know they've dropped the ball and I want to know what they're going to do about it because the photoshoot just isn't enough.
As I said in the first post of the thread, I've been away. I wish people would stop telling me to stop asking questions that have been asked already because as I stated, I haven't been here.
What I don't get is the willingness here to accept something that is clearly below par, and also the willingness to be lied to. Which, as far as I can tell we have been repeatedly.

It's great that all of you are excited for Lockdown 2 already.
However, I'm still frustrated, because I put my faith and my money in Showmasters/Massive Events for this event.
And I still don't think I'll be getting my money's worth.
as to the guests on planes i have no idea what they are doing here maybe they are filming maybe you have given some part of the plot away by just saying what you have said ??I doubt it. I saw props such as a British phonebox outside the studio, I doubt they'd send two actors all this way when they've been doing it in Hawaii for three years.
So the group photoshoot is extra for everyone in acknowledgment that this event hasn't worked out as well as expected? And what are the Gold Pass customers, who have paid more than twice the amount, getting?
Thread title stands, I'm still confused, just for shifting reasons.

*please everyone don't get your hopes up about them being announced!* It may be good lookalikes, or it may be a flying visit. Or not at all.
I'm 110% sure it was them (you can't mistake Michael's stare, or Yunjin's beautiful face - especially when she's standing right next to you). I didn't mean to be like 'announce them now!' I know they could only be here for a few days, I was simply illustrating that clearly the cast aren't completely tied to Oahu for the next couple of weeks.
But i doubt they can leave hawaii 10 daysYeah I don't think so either, but maybe someone else will be able to grab a couple of days. Who knows right?

Jason passed on the info he was given and there is no reason to doubt it.
Well, as I said, seeing those two getting off a plane in London today gave me reason to doubt it, hence why I bring it up.
Lets not go down the same old line of whether a group pic would or would not have been included for Gold holdersI've not been here: no idea if this is 'the same old line' or not, apart from something a friend mentioned to me when giving a brief update. I'm just attempting to garner all of the facts :)
I am sure SM will make it a special weekend for those faithful who bought a gold pass.I'm just concerned it's still not worth £200, that's all. I know it's going to be fun no matter what, but it's going to be a niggling thing at the back of my mind all weekend. I wish that wasn't the case, but it's the truth and I'm not going to pretend I'm okay with the price for what we're getting at the moment.
Please don't think I'm moaning, I'm not, I'm just a little frustrated, and as the topic states, confused (and jetlagged).

They were on my flight from Honolulu to LA, and I thought 'oh cool' then they got on the Heathrow flight and I was like 'wow! - Could it be?' but yeah I've no idea why they're here (didn't want to approach them; god knows I didn't want to be approached by anyone!)
Yunjin was wearing the skinniest jeans I've ever seen in my entire life, it must be said.

Okay, I've just got back off holiday, and whilst I've had a vague idea of what has been going on, I'm very confused. (The jetlag probably doesn't help right now, but I want to get sorted.)
So, correct me if I'm wrong on any/all of this:
- HIC cancelled, and now we have four guests for Lockdown.
- As some kind of compensation we're getting this group photo thing (which would have been included in the price for Gold Pass holders such as myself anyway?)
- There's no way to get a refund or downgrade?
The last I heard, Showmasters said that J.J. Abrams (who as far as I was aware is no longer involved with the show) requested that all of the regulars remained on Oahu for the next few weeks in case they were needed. Yunjin Kim and Michael Emerson arrived in London this morning, so that's apparently not the case.
Sorry for the new topic and whatnot, I'm just not sure exactly where to go, and perhaps it's lazy of me to ask instead of trawling through the threads, but having just spend 26 hours travelling I don't think I can manage it :)

What I think is going on is that maybe (hopefully) the last guest is a main cast member, who is unable to confirm until the call sheets for the episode filming when Lockdown is on goes out.
Also, once the call sheets do go out, Showmasters can attempt to get whoever isn't in the episode. There's usually one or two regulars missing each week.
I'm not ecstatic with the guests we've had so far, but I'm very much looking forward to the event. I'm holding out hope that we'll get one extra awesome reason to do so soon enough.

I wonder if it's going to be mainly castaways on the Friday, or if there will be many people in Doctor/Nurse get up?

I'm thinking of wearing my halter dress on the Friday (I'll post a pic in my LJ on Sunday, Lauren because I'm wearing it on Saturday hehe).
On thw Saturday I'm going to be as Hawaiian as I can. I think I'm going to get a sarong dress thing they wear over there, and hopefully some flowers for my hair etc.

Lauren; I'm not too good with longer fics either. But lately I've been finding it helps to not show anyone til it's done completely. But then you're writing something long without anyone to tell you what they think of it. Long fics are just difficult. And sometimes you can do so much more with one shots anyways.
I should probably be saving this for the actual day, shouldn't I? Hehe!

I think that Jedi Chefs turn up at pretty much every event, Nik. They're a lot of fun, from what I hear!
I'm dressing up for the party on the Saturday, but I'll just be smart-casual for the Friday parties, and casual during the day. Or my own version of it in any case!
I'm wondering how many people are going to be covered in mud for the Friday party!

Like I said, I'm just calling it how I see it.
A conspiracy theory? I think not; I'm simply putting together the information presented to me in the most logical way possible.
Of course I'm not in contact with JJ Abrams, but information about his new show is available across the internet, and pilot season is in full swing now the strike is over.

Sure. You're right. But Showmasters said they couldn't leave Hawaii, and it's clear to me that's not true.
Anyway, there's not much point in trying to discuss this with you, it's clear. I'll wait to talk to Showmasters directly, and hopefully that will be after I've spoken with Trading Standards in the morning.
