    I went to Bournemouth Comic Con today, and I have to say, that's the smoothest and most fun and stress free convention I've been to in years.

     

    Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful- and for the first time in a long time, ALL of them seemed to know what was going on, where things were and who was doing what (and if they didn't, they knew somebody who could help). *applause* Well done guys!

     

    I was in (after arriving at half 9) and got all my autos by 11.30am!!! Superb!

     

    Literally the ONLY thing I could say which is in any way negative, is that a proper hall layout/map would've been extremely helpful today, but I understand that with a brand new event, it would've been difficult to get up online in time.

     

    Definitely coming to next years Bournemouth event, because if it's anything like today, then it'll be a breeze!

     

    Here's to hoping Showmasters implements what they did brilliantly today for the London Conventions in future :D

    I think if one was going to be posted they would of done it by now, BUT they only did the set up today so maybe theres still time

     

    I hope so! Would make everything a lot smoother if I knew where things were going to be haha!

     

    I need a short VQ for Robert englund I missed him in London due to the amount of gold pass holders they had, so I really cant miss him this time. we will all walk in like headless chickens lol

     

     

    Haha yeah! Thankfully I'm not after headliner guests this time, so I should be ok with my VT tickets :D

    Photoshoot & Talk Schedule Announced for Bournemouth

    So I have 1 photo shoot with- Ellie Kendrick, Dan Starkey and Finn Jones on saturday...

     

    How screwed am I? As the times are REALLY close together. 5 mins between Dan and Finn... I don't want to have to sacrifice one, and I can't afford to buy any kind of gold pass etc as I have only enough money to go now. :/

     

    Really worried now...

     

    They are running one after the other in the same area and not at the same time so nothing to worry about :smile: You queue for one, have picture taken and then leave the area and join the queue for the next - simples.

     

     

    Oh thank god for that! I'm so used to there being like several photoshoot areas that I think I confused myself haha!

    Guess I'll be in and out in and out then XD

    Any more guests?

    Damn, I'd literally die if you got Paul McGann to go. I missed him last summer at LFCC but would forgive all that if you got him for BFCC haha!

     

     

    Better not to book Paul McGann then...if you'd literally die, you wouldn't be around to meet him :poki:

    Not wanting to sound greedy as I love the guests you've already announced for this convention... but I wondered if any more announcements were in the pipeline? As I'm currently saving up for this convention and would like to know if I ought to save extra in case anymore guests I want to meet come up with photoshoots :D

     

    So excited for this convention!

    Ticket Prices raised?

    How come all of a sudden all ticket prices have had a £1 added to the price? When I worked out my budget a few weeks ago on the original ticket site it was a different amount. For example, Dan Starkey's photoshoot was priced at £10 but now on the new ticket site its £11?? Same with Finn Jones £15 now £16?

     

    How is this fair? Have I missed something?

    Ticket Refund for Cancellations and Photo Clashes

    the last refunds were just processed as Jason said. give it until Tuesday or Wednesday, sometimes it will take a day or two to show up on your card.

     

    Is that just the automatic refunds for cancellations, etc. or does that include for those of us with photo ops but no entry tickets who didn't get in? I have no idea exactly how they do them, but I haven't given a reference number or anything yet. Just so I know! ^_^

     

     

    I'm requesting the same thing. I sent an email with my proof of payment and a photo of my unused tickets and receipt.

    Not yet. It can take up to five working days for the banks to process a transaction. As posted above they have just been completed. It is in the hands of the banks now.

     

    Mine isn't an automatic refund though. I'm requesting a refund for two missed photoshoots due to not being able to get into the convention and being stuck in the queue outside for pay on the door entry for four hours instead.
