i havent booked my room yet either and im a female and dont smoke. i was thinking of doing same thing as money is abit of an issue for me

i forgot to add im a 22 year old student :D

Hi there, have you been able to find a roomie as I'm going to be booking one soon and was wondering if you were still stuck?

  2. I know I'm a bit late in the day - but I've finally decided I'm coming to the Hub 7 for certain so wondered whether there was anyone else (female, non-smoker pref) who's either got a room at the Raddisson, looking for someone to kip on the floor and share the bill, or looking for some floor to kip on (and willing to share the bill)?

I'll be bringing an airbed regardless and I'm willing to book a room if there's someone to share with!

    (ps. I'm a 20yearold female non-smoking student, incase anyone's picky :headscratch: )

Also thought anyone else looking for someone to share with can use this thread to find someone!

    Hi hun,

I haven't booked a room yet but I'd be up for sharing. How many nights are you after? I haven't decided whether to go home Sunday or Monday.

I'm a 41(wow, that appeared from nowhere)year old non smoking female.

  3. I know that for a first-time experience of a Showmasters event, Hub 6 wasn't going to be an entirely accurate representation of the usual way things go and I won't expect as much next time from Showmasters. (I mean in what we got in the way of extras, not in the way things were run efficiently and pleasantly as I've always heard good things). I had an absolute blast, the weekend was chilled enough for this particular introvert and I plan to buy a ticket for Hub 7 as soon as finances allow. I might even party next time round.

Rhodri was hilarious enough to almost let me forgive him for calling me a gog - Newport's hardly that far north of Cardiff!

  4. Right, so, here's the problem. Last year I came to the Hub with my brother (he was the 4th Doctor the 1st night, I was his glasses holding assistant O.O) but it looks like he won't be coming with me this year. That means I somehow need to get from Portsmouth to Northampton, as well as sort out some kind of sleeping arrangements.

So what I'm looking for is if anyone is going from the South, if I can hitch a ride? To be fair this isn't a major issue though as I'd probably be able to get the train if I had to (although, where would I put all my TW merchandise? >.<). I don't know if anyone would want to share a room maybe, or... something. I don't really want to go on my own tbh.

If anyone has any suggestions or can help in anyway, that would really be appreciated!

    Many thanks,

    Jen

    Hi Jen,

I'm travelling up from Portsmouth (there's another Torchwood fan in Pompey?) as well but I'm going by coach both ways as it's cheaper than the train. It's less hassle getting from the arrivals across to the departures at Victoria Coach Station than slogging across from Waterloo to Euston. If you're willing to slum it on the coach then I'm up for the company.

Sadly, I can't do anything about the room as someone took pity on me after her roomie had to cry off and so I'm sharing with her.

  5. I wonder if the apparent lack of interest before in Housebroken was because it was due to be happening on the same weekend as another event? A case of bad timing rather than anything else?

I can only speak for myself here, but I'd arranged to go there before I found out about Housebroken so I didn't really have any option other than to pass on Housebroken that time. Given the chance, I'll absolutely be there next time.

Sorry but we're not allowed to discuss other events on here. Thank you.

In the words of someone far smarter than me... d'oh! Glaringly obvious when I think about it. I'm going to take my n00b-ness away and hide.

  6. Thanks for letting us know what's happened and why.

I'm adding my vote for a Being Human con as the only reason I didn't go for Housebroken last year was because I'd previously booked for another con that particular weekend. I'm very much looking forward to the chance of meeting some of the BH cast at your other events.
