Feedback for ET2

Just got in from ET2 (could've stayed all week tbh!) and just wanted to say thank you to EVERYBODY for such a great weekend! I've only been to about 5 Collectormania events, never done a proper con before. Made some great new friends too.

Like Jason said, the best way to get feedback is on the forums so let's have it haha (Sorry to sound like a total nerd hehe!)

As I said, I've never done a proper con before so I have no frame of reference up judge against so please don't shout if you dont agree with me.

1) The gold pass drinks reception - I know the guys at ME were trying out the new groups thing in the reception, but I just think the groups were too big. I don't know how it turned out when just guests and attendees just mingled.

I think that is the only non-totally-positive thing to have to say.

I have had the best weekend ever and got my ticket for ET3, which is 3 days after my 20th and my student loans go in then too so I should have plenty of money to spend :-P

Big thanks to Mara for helping with my problem this morning too!

Aww sounds amazing, wish I could've been there.

How did the tickest sales go, and would you say there was much of a difference bewteen gold and standard?

Just trying to figure out whats best as I have only been to Prom so have no idea what ET will be like?

We had standard tickets and were quite happy with them. We got more standards for next year. With the standard, you get all the autographs, pictures to get signed and little bits of goodies. If you want photoshoots you do have to pay for them, but I didn't mind that. I didn't really want one with all the cast, so I just got three as I went really. :)

As for the event - me and my friends had such a good time. The only complaint I'd have was that the people crowding the guests at the party was majorly annoying. Chaske was standing right behind me and my group and we didn't even know he was there until one of my friends was actually pushed over by another guest. It was insane. We were pushed out of the way by so many people. I mean, yes everyone is happy that the guests decide to join in the with the parties but there isn't a need for mobbing. They had security with them, but they were more concerned about them getting mobbed, there was no sympathy for us being flattened!

Other than that, we had such a great time. Got talking to so many lovely people. We're booked to come back again for ET3. :)

Thanks for your help. We went to Prom and had gold but tbh it didnt really matter what ticket you had.

All the guests are so gracious and SM work hard to ensure everyones safety but I have no idea how they would be able to stop the mobbing, especially when some of us have a few drinks haha.

I hope it doesnt become so problematic that the guests are completely cornered off from us.

I'm a bit like you, I try not to "overcrowd" and leave them be, that way I think you get more out of them. But everyone is soooo excited and meeting them is such a big thing for any twi fan, so I can understand that side of things too x

Did they allow photos taken by yourselves or was it as stipulated no videos no cameras?

For me the main thing which I feel needs to be improved for next time is there to be more things to do when you have large gaps in your schedule etc. Unless I was missing something the whole weekend  Hopefully as next year will be a larger venue there will be more to do :)

I'm not the biggest fan of dancing etc so the parties aren't really my type of thing. But the Friday night one was for me better then the Saturday party. Probably because there weren't so many people. On the first night I was chatting and dancing with Rachelle for a good ten minutes before people really began noticing who it was and began to crowd just a bit. I walked away because at the end of the day I had, had my "turn" and just went and danced a bit elsewhere.

On the Saturday night this was impossible, as soon as the guests went somewhere you knew because there was a herd of people following. Obviously there was more people then on Friday night, or so it seemed. I know for contractoral reasons the bodyguards probably have to stay with the guests, but I think to a certain extent (mainly with Rachelle) if they hadn't had the bodyguard right next to her she might of blended in a little more :P With the mask etc.

Oh and I didn't really get the point of queuing for the talks if they call out groups of numbers. Maybe large areas for each ticket would make more sense =/

Overall It was a truly brilliant weekend and I hope I can go to the next one, my mum seems quite happy for me to go :) I'll probably think of a few more things which could be improved, but keep up the good work.

SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN ET, I will just say to start with.

The Guests were incredible. I got my autograph with Chaske first thing Saturday and I was like the only one in the room so had a nice long chat with him about my arm injury and why it was in a splint. :P

Rachelle was sooooooo beautiful on the inside and out (Excuse the cheese) and Gil, Tyson and Edi just made me die with laughter. ahaha.

Got a Silver ticket for ET3 which I'm so happy about, can't wait!

And who's idea was the band on Saturday night? They were so good, though at the end when people were crowding round them they all looked a bit overwhelmed, aha. bless. (Got my picture though, aha. :P)

I don't think I have any complaints, at all. All the staff were friendly and helpful although there was the issue of finding something to do while waiting for talks/photos/autographs...

other than that THANK YOU SHOWMASTERS TEAM FOR ANOTHER AMAZING WEEKEND!

This weekend was my first ever con and didnt know what to expect really.

I went by myself and soon made friends and had a great time.

All the guests were amazing, but have to say i was disappointed by the small group that decided to follow them around on the Saturday night and i purposely kept out of their way because of it. (Yes the tall bodyguard was a big giveaway to where they were)

Had a blast and got myself Gold for ET3.

Can we have Gil and Chaske back? They were hilarious!

Thanks

The event was amazing; I had the best time. The talks were excellent and very entertaining; Edi really made me laugh, he was such a great guy. All the guests were awesome though to be honest and they were happy to chat and have a laugh with you which was great. The event was also run very well and so thanks to the whole ME team for all of your hard work!

I haven't uploaded any pictures yet, but I'll post some on here as soon as I do! I'm now off to bed since I have been up and about all weekend and I'm about ready to pass out...!

It was my first event but I loved the numbered grouping system for the talks and the pictures. It made entering the halls for the talks so easy and when I left the hall for my group encounter I didn't have to worry about my seat being taken, I came back for the next talk and just took my seat again. I really hope this system is kept again as I liked it.

I also noticed the same group of people at the parties and talks always crowding around the guests and being loud and made sure to stay well enough away from them but I don't think ME can really do anything about that, it did dampen the parties for us some though.

I do have to give you a round of applause of your very helpful and charming staff. It was a very busy and chaotic weekend and not once were they not gracious or curteous when answering my questions which I am sure they had answered a thousand times before. You have a winning team working for you and they made my weekend with you that much more enjoyable.

As im here i might as well spill. Ok so in short it was a FABULOUS weekend, but there were a few things that could be improved (just my opinion so dont kill me), and then some thing that I LOVED and should happen more and more and more!

Things that could be improved...

1) the Gold drinks reception, was a bit crowded and noisy, maybe each group goes into seperate rooms, because then everyone could hear the guest and there would be more space.

2)Queing for the next time's tickets. Need to have a larger space? and also make it easier to know which queue is which straight off, so you dont have to look around (or ask) to find out!

3) announcing groups to go in for Auto's, the people need louder voices, or a tick sheet that is out of the way somewhere so we can always see it.

4) Stuff to do (in biiiiiiiig gaps)! there wasnt much, apart from sitting around, or spending yet more money. So anything that would keep us doing something and not clogging up the halls would be fab.

5) At the parties (friday/saturday/sunday nights) there needs to be more tables, because when the guests came round to the tables there werent many and so some people (who didnt have a table) didnt get to see the guests. Also people were still trying to take pictures of the guests perhaps it needs to be said, and the "requests" board for songs needs pens that actually work. (p.s. Park Inn need to fix their air con.)

And now things that I LOVED LOVED LOVED...

1) Registration was quick and easy (nice one anyone who was helping out)

2) The Photo shoots / auto's were all on time (or running early) which meant that there was less waiting around.

3) Loved how the raffle was done this time, made life easy.

4) Loved the talks, and the lack of screaming, and the photography rules worked better than i thought they would as i still managed to get a good number of photos taken in that short time, so good choice on that one.

5) Everyone being cool so that the guests could be at the parties, was so cool to watch Rachelle on the Rodeo Sheep (friday) and Gil on the horse race game (saturday). It was really nice that they were all so out going and didnt mind it too much. So a big thanks to them as well. Also they could come in and dance without being swamped by fans, which meant they could relax and we could relax too, just knowing that they were there even if we werent constantly with them.

6) the themed parties were super, loved the masquerade ball because it gave me the chance to be creative and make my own mask (maybe you could do like a mask competition for the best home made ones?)

I think i'll stop there or i'll go on all night. FANTASTIC JOB SM! see you at Collectormania london in november and then at ET3 in Birmingham in Febuary. Was nice meeting everyone!

Awesome weekend guys!! Like a few of the others I think maybe sometimes when there is a big gap there's not much to do other than just sit around and do nothing.... but that's about the only thing I think really good do with improving. I think everything ran smoothly and worked really well!! It was awesome- well done guys!

Just got home had a brilliant weekend the gold drinks reception worked better ET1 but our group split up into 3 littler groups when we at one point had no guest and we almost missed rachelle for our trouble and erm . . . I know the guests get security and thats the priority but maybe we could have someone on the lookout for . . . I don't wanna get into it but if you were at the Saturday night party you probably saw and well . . . It's not at all anything bad on SM but that was . . . bad it shocked me maybe a if your under a certain age you must be accompanied with someone who is gonna look after you and stuff :/ I dunno it just anyway other than that . . . the talks . . . the guests were great but . . . oh I feel like this is turning into a horrible post  I don't want to offend anyone but maybe if you had an MC with some interest in the series because he didn't seem to and it came across I think and I know others at the event did too . . . erm any other pointers . . . hmmm . . . I liked the way you do the bags for photoshoots now like at LFCC that was good . . . and erm dealers rooms were better but we like stuff more stuff will never go wrong! I think thats it for now but more may come to me later I am trying to be constructive but I've been up since 3.30am soooooo it might not come across as intended sorry in advance!

IT WAS BLOODY AMAZING! The only annoying thing was being yoyoed around waiting for an extra autograph with Gil, the big talker! Oh, and missing the Wolf talk, but that was my own fault for bidding on Edi's guest encounter >.< So many inside jokes in th main talk I didn't get! Can't wait for the DVD :D

This was seriously amazing though, and in the end I was so made up my friend dropped out, I don't think I'd've enjoyed it as much! Roll on ET3, Team Bewley room share!

I don't want to offend anyone but maybe if you had an MC with some interest in the series because he didn't seem to and it came across I think and I know others at the event did too

Which MC? Paul on the Satruday is SMs regular MC and he has done moist of the events ive been at before, and on Sunday Davey was MC, and he is a fan of Twilight lol

I had an absolutly amazing weekend!! I have really really enjoyed myself, and i had to beg my Mum when she picked me up to buy me a ticket for the next one lol

Only thing i have to say is the crouding around the guests at the partys. I myself wasnt bothered about hanging out with the guests at the partys, but it was painful to watch people almost litterally throwing them selves on the guests. I was stood by the doors to the hall and as Chaske and Gil came out, a girl asked Chaske for a hug, and he hugged her, then Gil was right behind, and she just litterally threw herself at him with out even saying a word XD And then they were followed by a huge group of people who totally squashed us on our way into the hall with no regards for us, they only wanted to get to where the guests were as quick as possible. I understand a few people chatting to the guests at the partys at a time, but when its a few people chatting to the guests with an audience of about 25 huddled around them, i felt sorry for them. Especially when we were told not to croud them at the openeing ceremony and at the end of the talks, but people obviously didnt care.

Other than that, i cant really complain about anything else, as i had such a brilliant time!

Thank you to the super crew for being awesome as always!

I had a fab weekend and so did Will.

things were alot calmer and the crowding of the guest was really nothing compared to et1!

the talks were much more enjoyable due to the requests by the crew/ME about the screaming and cameras.

the popcorn and candy floss was a great idea!

The only complaint i have is the strobe lighting which was just a bit too much! but thats just my opinion

Arrr my god, that was such a goood weekend!!! It was run really well, much better than ET1.

The friday night was brilliant, so funny and dressing up as Victoria got me in Bliss hahaha!!

The saturday was good- except the music wasn't to me or my friends taste and we ended up outside in our masks for most of it. That was dissapointing, because we were looking forward to the masquerade the most and the music really let it down. The band weren't what we liked to listen to, then after the DJ played dance most of the night. I know we weren't the only ones who thought it, but that enough moaning!

SM did such a good job getting the guests. They were definatley the best guests so far. I love Rachelle. I really felt for her in the talk- shes brilliant. Chaske laugh made me laugh soooo much aswell! All the guests were amazing!!

I also think we as an audience were really good this time! At ET1 I thought I was going to have to go home with all the screaming and hysteria, but this was soooo much more relaxed and fun! I think the guests appreciated it to!

The merchandise was brilliant to. I was very good and didn't buy anymore standups- which were sooo cheap!!!! Anyone who brought one was very lucky- My edward standup cost me £45 with P&P!!!!

I have my ET3 ticket, and shall be getting my 4 aswell! Keep them coming SM!!!!!

O and MICHAEL SHEEEEEEEN for the next one :) hahaha

This was my first convention EVER. I didn't really know what to expect. And you know what? When we got in the car last night and got ready to go home, I put my seatbelt on and looked out of the window and cried.

I've never had the most amazing experience in my life. The atmosphere of everybody was fantastic and beyond words.

The guests were so welcoming and the way they jst threw themselves into having fun with us was really thoughtful and heartfelt.

I can't believe how fast it went. I never wanted it to be over.

So thank you to everyone who was there, it was really lovely sharing that experience with you.

Yep have to agree the weekend ran nice and smoothly especially the queues, I have major issues with queues (no details) but they moved so quickly I barely noticed it to be honest :)

The decor for the Volturi Party was fab, I missed the opening lightening stuff but it sounds amazing.

I personally didn't notice the guests getting that crowded on sat but we only saw them from the side so maybe there were more there than it appeared :)

If I had to make any suggestion for ET3 it would be to rethink the gold party, there was a little bit of a problem with there being large groups and whilst we could all re jig our places it wasn't really ideal and felt a bit awkward so maybe having something like each group split into 2 so 1 - 15 table 1, 16-30 table 2 and so forth that way people should get a chance to speak with the guests without having to leap from the back :)

That's the only improvement I can think of :) Oh apart from people coming who are ill with colds grrrr gets on my wit well done for you to put up with all the discos etc I couldn't do it, but not impressed really since a few of us have probably caught your germs now lol booooo

Erm and as for the guests they were fantabulous, very entertaining, considering the jet lag too it's pretty impressive they all managed to stay on form for the whole weekend, and Rachelle was such a beautiful person have to take my hat off to her it can't have been easy turning up at a twilight event given what's been happening etc so I think she deserves a massive thankyou along with all the other guests and staff xx

ET3 here we come :)

I agree with you, Fran. The band weren't up to much cop at all were they? They didn't really know a lot of the words to the songs they were singing. But I enjoy live music and we just sang along and shimmied away regardless.

The talks were a lot of fun. The guests seemed to really get into them! The overall weekend was such a success. We didn't know whether we would want to go back to the next one, but we booked whilst we were there. It really was fun.
