Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted October 16, 2009 Showmasters Admin Share Posted October 16, 2009 ok after a long look at the ticket policy and we have come up with a decision that we think will be better for people that have booked tickets and cannot go to the event . our biggest fear is that ticket touts get to buy lots of the tickets up and try to rip of the fans , now we know what coming in the future of our event , things we cannot talk about at this time but because of this we want to be able to provide this serves but still keep it safe for the fans to still buy tickets with out fighting the touts , this is what we have come up with . Sold Out Ticket Re-sell Policy For all events in 2010 onwards we will be introducing a new 'Ticket re-sell policy' for our SOLD OUT events only. In the event of a show selling out we will open a waiting list for people still wishing to purchase tickets , 4 weeks before the event not before . This this will then close 2 weeks later before the event . During this 2 week time period people no longer able to attend the event will be able to 're-sell' their unwanted tickets to those on our waiting list . Please note there will be a £15 charge for this service and tickets may only be passed on to people on our waiting list if such persons exist, you still cannot resell your tickets on Ebay or face book . We will try our very best to reallocate tickets, which will be done on a first come first served basis only, but tickets can only be resold if their is a person wanting the tickets on our waiting list. Tickets are still sold under customer names, to be supplied at time of purchase, and can NOT be sold as 'blank tickets.' so if you do not put the name of the person on the ticket it we will not take your money and you will not get a ticket , we are doing this in an attempt to stop ticket touts. The tickets are still non refundable and non transferable until such a time that the event is sold out and only upon entering onto the ticket waiting list within the two week allocated time period. Any refunds or exchanges can NOT be accepted outside of this time period so please do not contact us till this time . i hope you can see we are trying to offer you this serves but at the same time we do not want to let any touts to buy up tickets and stop real fans from getting the tickets at the event price . some of you have been affected by this issue we are sorry but next year is going to be very interesting for Twilight fans and our events and we do not want the real fans lousing out by people just making money out of them , at least we have go this in place before what we have planed for you next year go's into play i hope you can see that this is a good way to help the people that do have an issues attending the event after they had bought tickets . we are sorry we could not put this in play for this event but we have only just worked out a way were it works for every one and we had to make it safe and we had to know it would work . so this is what will happen for ET3, so if you cannot make the event and as long as the event has sold out you will be able to get your money back if you cannot make it we do listen and we do care , next year is going to be amazing and we know these event are going to be in much demand as we do have a lot up our sleeves for next year but we are not aloud to tell yet , that will have to come latter , its killing me but you will all get to know in time i will see you all latter today jason
NuttyMadam
This seems like a really good idea, i know of a few people who would have liked to do this and it's helpful to know that a ticket isn't wasted if for whatever reason someone can't make the event. I'm going to go back to staring out the window of the train now and making the most of the scenery! Edited October 16, 2009 by Too Tall

Hi, I do think this is a great idea, however I may have a problem and I'm wondering if someone can help before we buy tickets. They are 3 of us planning to go, I'm a defo however the it's the other 2. Whats happening is my friends told her daughter she'll take her on the condition she inproves her grades at school. As they sell out really fast we were going to buy tickets and if she doesn't improve the 2 other friends were going instead. I'm wondering if that will be possible. Cheers

Cheers I don't think this is possible. You'd be doing a direct swap and bypass the waitlist. Your friend and her daughter could still buy the tickets, and the other two could go through waitlist (provided the event is sold out, and with the server going kaboom earlier it will very well be). But your friend and teh daughter can't give the tickets away to the other two friends directly.

~Jenny~
Ok, I guess we'll have to decide what’s happening then, as I'm not prepared to book travel and accommodation for 3 people if it's just me going, in case I don’t get money back from them. And I didn't want to book for the con without knowing we could get there and have somewhere to stay. As we can't guarantee that my friends will get tickets from the waiting list.
