All of the guests that I met were lovely, and I met far more than I have done for the past few years. It was very quiet though, other than David Boreanaz’s queues. Agree with everything you've said. So happy to have met David - 23 years after meeting my first Angel cast member, I've finally met the whole of the main cast. David was quiet as expected, but when he saw the Angel puppet his face lit up and he said it was awesome. Thanks to everyone who spoke to me in the queue. It was funny hearing all David's f-bombs during his talk, in contrast to his seemingly quiet personality. Apparently he reads scripts and books from back to front! Corinne Clery was good fun and really seemed to be enjoying herself. All the guests were good that I met. It was strange seeing so much open space in the main hall, although yesterday was a lot busier from what I heard. They will need to get the entrance price right going forward. The event has obviously shrunk, but the price has gone up a lot compared with pre covid. I heard a group discussing "value for money". It's a difficult balance which is impacting on all types of entertainment. I hope they are a success going forward, I've had many great years visiting LFCC and hope for a good few more. They do need to find a way to get more guests though.
dogsoldierspoon
I thought I made a post about Saturday on my way home, but I must've forgotten to actually post it. I agree that all guests were lovely. Ray Winstone was a gent and I finally got Rupert Grint's autograph (skipped him 2 times before because he was never personalising). All in all, the day went quite smoothly for me, no problems. My main gripe is that this amount of money would've probably gotten me twice as many guests 5 years ago (and it's not that the names are bigger). The stalls were a bit of a letdown and there weren't too many. It was also rather quiet on Saturday, which makes me worry for the future. That, and I realised that I've actually never met anyone from the forum in all my years of Showmasters (save TooTall)

I spent £25 on autographs from 4 guests that are realistically £15 guests at most. That was a little frustrating, but they were all lovely and happy to chat for ages. Pure legend. Been wanting to meet him for years, and yes was worth the wait. My only regret was due to circumstances had to skip the photoshoot as it was so late in day And no I wont stop asking in the guest requests, as he needs to come back Edited July 8 by Mfahey79

Guests that would have been £10 or £15 a couple of years ago are suddenly £20 or £25 and that is a big leap when it comes to budgeting

And like you the guest I met were all lovely, and it sounds like I'm moaning but its quite the jump in pricing Edited July 8 by Mfahey79

Yes this was Sunday, but no that wasn't me (I was in a white Hard Rock t-shirt from Washington DC for a Bones link). Angel was being held on my right arm (don't have the original box) when he was out. Sometimes he was locked away in my bag when he started to get too aggressive, didn't want us fighting in the corridor like he did with Spike
scifisteve
Yes this was a quite event, it felt more like a Spring or Winter Show. and I only had 4 guests to meet (3 after a cancellation). With these shows I always find myself with two scenarios, Either Insanely busy or with so little to do on the verge of boredom. this one was the latter, and as per usual the only shoots I had where all after 4pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday. So having to 5 Hours between autograph and Photo wasn't the best and weather really prevented leaving the event between. As for Guest attendance we should all remember that the Movie and TV industry has not long come out of a 6 mouth Strike that properly put a lot of shows and movies behind. meaning a lack of availability, It was Noticeable that there was no massive promo from the Movie Studios at this event. plus we are in the middle of the Euros which must impact both guest availability and Fan attendance. I will continue to go to SM London events as long as they have Guests that interest me, and if it comes to an end then I will take it as my time to retire from collecting.

I assumed the angel puppet got put back in its box when I passed it. But it seems like thees a 50/50 chance that I passed you upstairs, as I have a vague recollection of a box free version of angel upstairs.

I met the other puppet in the queue for David's autograph and we had a fun chat. The two puppets are actually different, mine has the claw marks on the face from later in the episode, whereas I noticed the other puppet didn't have these. I didn't even know there were different versions until now!

Guessing the owner was in a little bit of a rush.

What kind of mug would buy a Spike puppet when he wasn't even turned into one in the show? Hi! 1
