Being a big anniversary, I was really hoping that there would be a Con/Signing over here that was focused entirely on 'The Movie', giving us a chance to meet some of the Canadian cast & crew.

Who knows what Fantom may do, but that said I can’t imagine that they’d manage it because that would mean flying them out, so the prices would be flat out higher than Fantom average, but I guess fans would pay the money for it, I know Matthew Jacobs is UK side so that’s something, but with no LFCC we can’t even hope for Eric Roberts who id be going in for at least 2 from, as Regeneration would be prime and then either Steelbook or Masterul depending on the money

To be perfectly honest. I know Eric, Daphne and Yee Jee are on the steelbook cover, but i'm thinking just getting Sylvester and Paul to sign it and calling it done. roughly in line with each other. A metallic blue,

Partly down to how unlikely we are to get the rest of the cast. And partly it would balance out keeping to two signatures

So here we are one year sine the last episode. And the future for the show looks as bleak as it ever has.

No news or Photo leaks of the Christmas specials, if it even has started filming or not, and rumours are its been bumped to next easter.

No one has even come out and refuted these stories which is even more damning.

Russell T has a new show out and even he is refusing to address the rumours. In fact he says his next project wont start filming until next year which implies its not Doctor Who. Otherwise he would have mentioned it surely.

I fear the the 4th Doctor is wrong this time. It is the end. But the moment hasn't been prepared for.

Still unlike the wilderness years, at least we have player, dvds etc. And not having to rely on weekly repeats on uk gold, Doctor Who Magazine and the occasional novel form our fix

Given big finish is running and unlike the wilderness years where copyright was skirted at every avenue, they do have the licence so we’re not devoid of new acted content it’s just we won’t see anything new on television, that said I may even say it’s a bad omen that two episodes were found, meaning the newest content we could possibly see is old content

With apologies to Mr Shakespeare, or Mr Bacon.

I started my re watch about a month before the lost episodes were announced, and motivated me to catch up to season 3 in time to watch in the correct order.

Id have watched them anyway as. Its still an amazing discovery and hopefully not the last

Well. Take this with a pinch of salt but Russell has said theres a press announcement coming.

Well the exact phrase was theres a press release numbering through the bbc and in 2 or 3 weeks well get some sort of press release.

Hardly a ringing endorsement of faith or hope to any new

New Peter Capaldi tour announced, Sheffield, Bristol,  Glasgow and London.

Hopefully he is generous at signing after these shows and the ones early this year.

Unfortunately most are to far for me to travel too, and I cant get to the London show

More sad news. Anthony Head has passed away. Although better known as the Gold Blend man or Giles from Buffy

Yeah I just saw the news myself, that is a horribly sad one to see

And some more sad news, Patrick Godfrey who appeared in The Savages and The Mind of Evil has passed away at the ripe old age of 93.

His wife played the older Ruby in 73 yards

Only days after his “the savages” costar Kay Patrick died, that’s a shame

Let’s lighten the mood shall we, as I’ve now ordered “Beyond the Sun” and for a cheap price got the first print to get signed by Anneke Wills and when LFCC returns I can get Lee Sullivan as well

So the BBC have issued a statement about the future of the series.

To summarise RTD screwed up and wrote himself into such a knot that he couldnt untie. They're going away to find someone to ignore it and come back with a new producer and studio.

And christmas is cancelled. Bah humbug

  • There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea's asleep and the rivers dream. People made of smoke, and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice and somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace, we've got work to do.

Yes well it can’t pan up to a sun here it’s thunder storming

I said it before and I said it again, people were way too nostalgic for RTD1 there is just as much drivel during that first era as there was good, so it should have been no shock there was going to be some bad in the new series, and I think expectations were too high, I don’t think the quality overall dropped until everything went wrong behind the scenes and we got the rushed ending.
