Looks like YALC in October will turn into a mini winter LFCC as theyve just announced that they'll have a few media guests as well. None confirmed so far, so maybe worth watching out for

Interesting, but I have a ticket for another Con that weeked.

I wouldnt be too excited for any big guest, but reading their statement it seems the guests will based on book adaptions in tv and film

That would be some good news, Albiet given it’s October and I have bigger plans during that month I doubt I can make that, it would have to be someone of awfully big persuasion

It would be nice if they had some of the authors of the New Series Target novelisations, as I like to get them to sign theirs.

I’m hoping to get the author of “the well” over the weekend, my opinions are going to held firmly bloody shut however

I mean if we were to stretch it “Human Nature”/“The Family of blood” are both adaptations of the novel, and you can double up with Harry Lloyd for those who don’t have him as he also did Game of Thrones.

i doubt however they’d get anyone from the novel adaptations range, except maybe Joshua Silver as he was a YALC guest last year and was in “Romance of the Crime”

Which based on the nature of the event and venue I cant see any really big name guests.

And im struggling to name any authors who have had any adaptations of their work and appeared at a YALC to be honest.

I can think of one large name that has had an adaptation of their work, but booking them would no doubt burn more bridges than it would be worth, if anything booking them would send a signal of allegiance and would isolate a lot of a potential audience

Is that a comment on the book or the episode.

As he didnt write the TV episode, so gets a pass for that one.

And Rose Ayling-Ellis was superb in the episode

I collect the signed ones like you, it was surprising that this year's were not offered as a signed option just unsigned

I don't buy the pre-signed ones, so it's a shame FP haven't done a signing in London since the 60th ones.

Have got the odd one signed at various events - got 'Kerblam' signed by Pete McTighe at my last one.

I liked getting the pre summoned one. More for convenience than anything, as it's then sorted for me.

If there were any signings I would see if I could make it mind

Damn. Michael Keating has passed away. Very minor role in  the Sunmakers. But more known as Vila from Blakes 7

I’d argue those first 3 episodes were significant, why he and Adrianne burgess were reduced to location only for episode 4 is anyone’s guess

but it is impossible to dispute British sci fi legend has passed away, he was great in “the Sun makers” and whilst I’ve not watched Blakes 7 I can’t imagine he’d be awful in it

“The well” was a sequel to “midnight” an episode I notoriously hate, so I can’t really say much in terms of opinions

He's the only main actor from Blakes 7 I managed to meet

It was a decent role for him, and a good foil for the other actors

Well, there's a good news bad news announcement if ever I saw one. Fantom announcing Stuart Fell for Utopia.

Good news he is still signing, bad news its not a more accessible event

Well my copy of the movie arrived today, honestly never expected to get a Steelbook that would be placed after “Shada” nor was I even certain I was going to get the Steelbook because of how quick they sold out and I recall preordering before the actual trailer dropped.
