mckee74
I've made a few posts over the last couple of years regards the struggle in getting Showmasters to return a poster I sent them. I say "years", as it literally took three years of lies, broken promises and ignored emails. My shock then that I received a poster tube, without any kind of announcement from Showmasters. I wondered if it was too good to be true, and I wasn't disappointed. Three years waiting for its return. And it's not been signed. You couldn't make it up. Looks like the poster has been thrown around a bit as it was mint when it left me and now it's wrecked around the edges. So basically, I paid out money to have Showmasters hold onto my poster for three years. Smack it about, and not even bother to get it signed. Brilliant. I have emailed them about it, but surprise surprise no reply.
Diabolik
Sorry to hear this, though not surprised frankly -What was the poster and who was meant to sign it?
mckee74
It's a poster for Prometheus. Signed by just about everyone now apart from Kate Dickie so I sent it in for her. Ironically during those three years I've been to a couple of events where she attended so I could have done it myself! I won't be sending Showmasters anything again. They're without honour.

As great as Showmasters Events are, their ethics are questionable and their pre-order/ send-in services are not to be trusted and I personally wouldn’t use it again, instead I prefer to attend the events myself where I know the item will be signed…
