Gold Passes

This morning we were given one £10 auto voucher and one prop shoot voucher. Were we supposed to get 2 Auto vouchers? The guy giving out the vouchers said we would get the same again tomorrow. Is this correct? Its not a big deal, this isn't what I bought the Gold Pass for.

Enjoyed the day, Gold passes make it ever so easy. But if something is promised then we should get it. 2 Diamond Pass Talks! Difficult to give when there aren't any.

Mentioned this to the Info Desk and they suggested I post it on here.

I'm sorry, I have no idea why the info desk told you this.

I have no information about local organisation, I am not at the show and I don't have any way to contact people at the show than by e-mail, which I've done now. I can't guarantee anyone reads this though because they are busy locally, so they don't really pay attention to what someone who is not at the show is asking right now.

I currently don't see the store listing for Gold Passes anymore, and I do not remember if it was 1 or 2 auto vouchers. It was one prop voucher, that much I remember. When vouchers were given in the past everything was given out together, that much I can tell. As for the Diamond Pass vouchers, I wasn't given any info about possible replacements.

I'm really sorry, but I can't give you a better answer than this.

Gold Pass - Saturday 29th February & Sunday 1st March 2020   more info

There are many advantages to being a Gold Pass holder, which will make your visit to our events even more enjoyable!

This gold pass includes: Entry to the show for all opening days. This will mean shorter queues at the entrance and early entry to the event (5 minutes). As you do not need virtual queuing tickets* you will not need to queue from early in the morning to guarantee meeting your favourite guests.

Talk Tickets Gold pass holders will have designated complimentary seats at all free and paid for talks taking place during show open hours with the exception of Diamond Pass Guest Talks, Promotional/Event Exclusive talks and sponsored talks (We may have to exclude for film promotion purposes or other reasons). Priority seating will also be given to Gold Pass holders to enter the seating area before the main queue. (In situations where the talk is part of a Diamond Pass package you will be located behind the Diamond Pass holders.)

The Gold Pass includes 2 x Diamond Pass Talks of your choice up to the value of £30 each. These are given out on a first come first served basis on the day and whilst stocks last.

Autograph Priority Gold Pass Holders will have the advantage of being ABLE TO JOIN THE BACK OF ANY REGULAR QUEUE WITHOUT HAVING A VIRTUAL QUEUING TICKET! This will cut down your overall waiting time incredibly, and allows a great deal more to be done over the weekend. Please be aware however, that for Diamond Pass Guests you will require a VQ ticket if that guest does a signing session outside of the designated Diamond Packages (We will add an autograph price to the guest announcement where this is applicable). 2 x Autograph Vouchers to be redeemed against guests selected by Showmasters around 2 weeks prior to the event. These guests will be attending the event on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, and will be charging £10 per signature at the event to non-gold pass holders, and to any Gold Pass holders choosing to purchase additional autographs from said guests. Please note: Autographs are not included in the gold pass and will need to be purchased separately on the day at the event (with the exception of your 2 free autographs detailed above).

Photo Session Priority Gold Pass Holders will be given priority queuing at the photo sessions! This means you will either be called up first if you arrive at the beginning of the photo session, or will be able to join the back of a smaller queue if the photo session is being called up in batches. (You will be located behind the Diamond Pass Holders for any purchased photo sessions with Diamond Pass Guests).

1 x £10 prop shoot (of the shows choosing) is included within the Gold Pass. (Please note: photo sessions tickets with guests are not included in the Gold Pass. These can be purchased online)

THERE IS A LIMITED NUMBER OF GOLD PASSES AVAILABLE

Your E-ticket for your Gold Pass will be sent via e-mail, which you will then exchange at the event for your wristband. Wristbands MUST BE WORN FOR THE DURATION OF THE SHOW! If you purchase a gold pass you agree to wear the wristband as your proof of purchase. These Gold Passes are not available to dealers, only to the public. We reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone. Gold Passes are not guest specific (refunds can not be offered if the guest line-up changes), are non refundable and non transferable. Gold Pass price does not include the cost of the autographs bought on the day. If you do not wish to purchase a gold pass, admission is available by individual entry tickets.

I didn't get anything.  Was given my wristband and waved in.  I presumed it was because it was a smaller con (I've never done LFCC Spring before), but guess not if other people got stuff.

Definitely wasn't worth the GP at this event.  One of the main reasons I have it is to get in early in case I need to get VQTs or DPs before a photoshoot.  Today I arrived at 9am and was made to join the back of the access queue because there was a "special desk" for Golds, so didn't get in until 9:30am.  Didn't feel too "special" watching all those standard entry people going in before me.   Absolutely livid about that.

And normally in photoshoot queues I'm allowed to slot in behind the last Gold holder if Batch 1 or higher has been called but not for my final shoot - was made to go to the back of the queue instead.  Technically going to the back of the queue is true to the description posted above, so I guess I can't complain, but I've never had to do that before (and the crewmember concerned acted like I'd committed a mortal sin by turning up just after he'd called Batch 1).  Talk about starting and finishing the day on a downer!  Usually I end these events on such a high, but not this time.  So glad I'm not going back tomorrow.  Hoping it's a blip and things are better at LFCC in the summer.

I hadn't actually read the full passage of the photo section.  Not sure if that phrasing is new and it's a bit ambiguous.  The way it typically operates is that for any ticket holder, if you arrive after your group has been called they try and slot you in near the entry of the booth, but I guess if the crew member was interpreting it as it says, they were obeying the perceived rules.  Unfortunately there's a lot to know with these roles and if the crew member was new to that role they may not be up on all the details I guess.

Yes, that's what normally happens.  I would never expect to be escorted right to the front, but the crew has hitherto taken me as close to the booth entrance as possible, behind any Golds/DPs already there.  I didn't recognize the crew member, so agree with your guess.  I was more upset by the entrance issue as I checked with a red shirt to be sure and she sent me to the back.  Grr.  Will get over it in a day or two, I'm sure, but I'm still in the angry processing stage.  At least the rest of the crew were delightful as usual.
