Doug Milsome started his career working closely with John Alcott as a camera operator and focus puller on Stanley Kurbricks films 'A Clockwork Orange', 'Barry Lyndon' and 'The Shining'. Known for his mastery of difficult techniques, tested especially with the idiosyncratic lenses used on 'Barry Lyndon' to film scenes by candlelight, he then became Kubrick's director of photography/cinematographer on 'Full Metal Jacket'. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy award for his work on 'Lonesome Doves' and was the director of photography on Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. His other work includes 'A View to a Kill', 'The Spy Who Loved Me', 'Blade Runner', 'Highlander' and 'Last of the Mohicans'.
