Guys, I am going to start my own Alien poster at LFCC this year. Black just doesn't pop for me and I was thinking of doing white. Question - I know they have a lot of colours at the desk but is white common??

Not white no. Silver is usually present, but for white I guess you'd need to bring one of those paint pens that people have discussed on here a few times.

That's fine I'll order one. Are the signers ok with taking pens from punters I mean will they refuse etc?

Never had a problem with a guest using my own pens. Ive started bringing my own for auto's as by the end of the day some of those nibs are pretty worn out!

Plus I have a poster that has to be signed in a specific shade of blue!.

No they won't have a problem using your pen, you may have trouble getting it back though so make sure you bring a back up if you are getting more than one guest on it.  I've lost a couple of pens when the guest has been distracted and and I don't want to say to them 'oi give my pen back'

I have a similar poster. I haven't framed it yet, was worried that the sunlight or lightbulbs would bleach and fade the poster eventually. Does anyone here use any specialised frames that prevent this? Looking for recommendations basically...

Just a warning though: white paint pens really take time to dry.

My framers discouraged me from buying UV glass for one poster as he said given the size of it the price would be massive.  I just try to keep it out of direct light.  Your best bet might be to get quotes from online frame services and you can see what the price is like.

Good tip. I've got to know if you met Benedict last year and what you said to him lol??

I can answer this. I am in the process of framing my stuff with custom black wood frames. The glass you need is 'UV Glass'. It's quite a bit more expensive than normal glass but A) it's SUPER clear BB) It protects from sun rays and fading to an extent. Here is my T2 with it. You literally can't even see the glass.

Not a whole lot, it was very busy so it was very quick.  I was telling him about the picture I got signed as he hadn't seen it before and liked it.  I emailed the artist after and told him his work had Benedict's seal of approval.

Cool! Benedict must have been lovely! I'm sure William is too, but the amount of conversation you can have depends on all sorts of things regrettably

The urge to spit out inquizitevly "How many combat drops!?" will be huge however my same urge vanished the moment I was in front of Michael Madsen who refused to sign the same side as someone else on my sword sheath, insisting he sign the other side. "Well if your gonna act like a horses a**.." erm nope que "Er..ok..thanks?"

Arggggghhhh Yesssssssss! ALIENS guests come to meeee!

Spot on. Even tonights Big guest will take a lot to top this for me :-D

This is exactly how I feel!

Showmasters, well done on getting a fantastic and rare Aliens guest! More please (I'm greedy), you know that they're always popular.

For me, William is THE guest of the entire show, I'm so excited that he is coming to LFCC. He did a small show in the Highlands in 2016 and other than that, I can't remember seeing him attending any other UK con in all the time I've been doing them.

Does anyone know the last time he was signing at an event prior to the 2016 Scottish one?

Great news! Now get him to Birmingham collectormania!!!!

im pretty sure Mr Hope himself reads this forum on him so "hi William come to collectormania, I'll even bring you a pickled egg if you do!

yeah in the bag for sure once he reads this. Lol  :D

Hi etikut, just an FYI before the mods tell you, if a guest can appear at other events they are usually announced for them at the same time.  Whilst it's not impossible guests may be later announced for another event it's best to assume he isn't able to appear at C25.  You are welcome to make the suggestion in the suggestion thread of C25 but 'get them for this event as well' posts aren't encouraged.

Hey Guys

So I am thinking of doing a Pre Order for William Hope and Lance Hendrickson

Few questions:

1) Can I add both to basket and pay then send my poster it and both will get signed that way?

2) I'd like both personalised with character name, is that under "Send your own item, select item closest to what your sending: non of the above personalized, YOU MUST SAY WHAT IN THE COMMENTS BOX"?

3) Can I send a special pen (Neon Blue Sharpie) for them to sign in if I include in the poster tube?

Thanks guys
