If I only wanted to meet guests from less popular/known films and tv shows that aren’t normally represented at conventions then I’d understand why I’d have fewer guests to meet. but I meet people from Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Lost, Marvel TV Shows, Marvel films, the main original Star Wars cast and I’d probably start Stranger Things too if some of the kids were announced. These are some of the most popular tv shows and films from convention attendees as a whole and it’s very common for guests from these things to attend conventions. I have less this year compared with at the same time last year so I hope for a little swing of the pendulum towards my area of interest during these final 60-ish days we have left until it starts. I know I am pretty narrow with what I am looking for but GoT looks good this year. But you mention Lord of The Rings which is so far absent this year, we had John Rhys-Davis last year though. At the moment there are 8 men but Ellie is the only female. The number of female GoT guests has been going down every year... five in 2015, four in 2016, three in 2017 (and those numbers include repeated guests like Ellie, Gemma and Jessica). Nathalie Emmanuel and Hannah Murray are both doing conventions this year but haven't done any in England. And also, Gwendoline Christie, Diana Rigg and Maisie Williams who have done conventions in the past but not for a few years so they'd be incredibly popular. I second this 100%, add such talents as Hannah Waddingham, Faye Marsay, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, Keisha Castle-Hughes and of course Natalie Dormer.
