Groot2003
Hi just wondering, do toploaders damage autographs and if they do what is the alternative, thanks!
maduncledai
Yes they do the Autos tend to stick to them or so I've been told as I have and never will use them myself. What's the alternative ? Depends on what your going to do with them ?
Skyggebjerg
They do if you stick them in there Before the auto is dry.
007 spells Bond
They almost damaged my Stallone (a 400$ item !) sgd in silver so I would not recommend them. Edited August 1, 2017 by 007 spells Bond
Norris
Yes they do. Would only recommend polyester pockets. Message me for more info
Lokinestro
I had no choice but to use one at the event for my A3 Finn Jones diamond pass print that I'd just had signed by three cast members. I foolishly didn't bring a poster tube. Thankfully mine remains undamaged.
Raylenth
If you want to store it Groot many of the punched pocket pages are fine, you just need to make sure it says they are acid free. Alternatively I often recommend something like these http://www.londongraphics.co.uk/products/Graphic-Supplies/Portfolios-Frames/Presentation-Boxes/list/perpage/20/page/1. If you look at the black and the white boxes you can see they are archive boxes and are acid and chlorine free. The A4 and A3 ones aren't massively expensive and you can store a good few pictures in them. However it's always recommended to have something at the events with you as well. I use these http://www.ryman.co.uk/mapac-a1-art-carrier-clear, they are cheap and come in different sizes and you can make them more durable by putting inside a suitably sized cheap foam board to give it rigidity. I then have inside that a rigid plastic box to put the 8x10's/photos in to protect them https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000KN6HD6/ref=s9u_wish_gw_i1?ie=UTF8&colid=DW4A1VFM63YD&coliid=I3TKY4XO4IDHZ5&fpl=fresh&pd_rd_i=B000KN6HD6&pd_rd_r=94VT37968YGBZHF9C280&pd_rd_w=BjtPU&pd_rd_wg=gYxZK&pf_rd_i=desktop&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=NR7A682G652TGA913E66&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=e586113b-1187-49e7-b25c-760581bc9374 All relatively inexpensive to get, they will last ages and everything you have will be safe from crushing, bending and damage to the signature.
Mark1972
I get all my sleeve refills from Arrowfile.com. They are acid free and different sizes available. Got 4 binders filled and now got to start 5th.
CosmicAvatar
I use the hard plastic autograph holders to get my autos home safely (having given the ink time to dry before putting them in), then transfer them to acid-free pockets and store them in hanging binder boxes (I also get mine from Arrowfile) . Good links there. I'm after somthing like a photo album that can take the 9 by 6 pics and also 8 x 10s (landscape and portrait) for the autos. Obviously I want something that protects the autos but they wont stick to the plastic. Anyone got any ideas?

Persephone1
Out of interest what products do you guys usually pick up? I had a box of Ultra Pro sleeves but I've run out
Mayhem
Those quite often actually Persephone. All my autograph stuff waits to be dry, goes in a mylar sleeve and then into the toploader. It's also how I send my items in if I can't attend a show.
PinkGlitch
Yes, I have a Katee Sachoff autograph that I kept in the toploader and stuck to my wall. Eventually the sun got to it and it yellowed so I went to reframe it and found the sharpied autograph had stuck to the inside of it and ruined the photo during removal. I don't use those anymore. I buy all of my auto stuff from Arrowfile now. They're not cheap but they do the job and I've not had any problems since. I don't really bother with putting signed pics on walls anymore though. Then I store away the originals :) Edited August 6, 2017 by minchb
