In light of the recent cowardly attacks some venues are stepping up security, and rightly so. Will this affect props? The last event I went to they were fine with staffs, weapons and other items within sensible limits, but the one before that they stopped umbrellas and toy pistols. I have a signed flag from Firefly and want Alan Tudyk to sign it in July, but the wooden pole it's mounted on is 1.5 m long. Ok on all sites, but you can never be too sure. One place changed the rules the morning of the con.

The security is handled by the venue mostly, so it is at their discretion.

I'm assuming there is no way to get the flag off the pole?

Once Collectormania is out of the way - and probably closer to LFACC - I am sure an update on the LFACC venue will be posted.
