Muppet
Does anyone know about the menus for hotel restaurants/other places to eat around the NEC? We're staying at the Ibis budget which doesn't have a restaurant, but I believe there are at least a couple of hotels on the same block as our which do - another Ibis and a Novotel I think, but I can't find a pdf for the menus. We'd like to know beforehand about places to go eat - and I'm a veggie so would like more options than an over-priced warm salad (Birmingham Metropole!) - and we don't want to waste time looking for places at the time, just want to know what we're doing and pre-plan where we can, as these things can be exhausting enough without wandering around and looking for food we can all agree on Any help much appreciated! (And yes, I'm an over-planner!)
CosmicAvatar
At Resorts World (across the lake from the NEC), there are quite a few restaurants, including TGI Fridays, Las Iguanas, Nando's and a couple of others I can't remember right now. I've thoroughly enjoyed eating (and drinking) at the first two... Edited September 30, 2016 by CosmicAvatar
lingham
NEC has nothing technically except a Subway As suggested above Resorts World (about a 10mins walk from venue) is the best best with shops and stuff. If you want to venture in Birmingham City Centre its only a 10min train ride either way

slideyfoot
I'd get the train from Birmingham International to New St, you'll get waaaaay more food choices, higher quality too. I used to live in Birmingham and loved it, great city. I particularly liked eating by the canals.
