Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted February 17, 2016 Showmasters Admin Share Posted February 17, 2016 Extraterrestrial Outlaw kicks off at LFCC Spring FOOTBALL (or soccer as the Americans prefer to call it) has been a major presence in British comics for many years. To a decades-long list that includes the prime example of Roy of the Rovers as well as such lesser-knowns as Hot Shot Hamish, Billy’s Boots, Stark Matchwinner for Hire and Mi££ionaire Villa Black Hearted Press is now adding Rok of the Reds. Written by 2000 AD legends John Wagner and Alan Grant, the comic is described by its Glasgow-based publisher as “A black comedy about revenge, redemption and the ‘beautiful game’.” The six-parter tells of Rok of Arcadi, a dangerous intergalactic outlaw whose home world has been destroyed. On the run and needing a place to hide, he chooses arrogant and troubled football star Kyle Dixon. The series is illustrated by newcomer Dan Cornwell who will be joining Wagner to unveil the £3.99 Rok of the Reds #1 at London Film and Comic Con Spring at Olympia. The show runs over the weekend of February 27-28 with Wagner on hand both days but the artist only in attendance on the Saturday.
