Tony1975
Anyone got any good suggestions for alternative suppliers for autographs sleeve holders? I have now run out!
CosmicAvatar
I use Arrowfile, if that's any help.
Zahariel
Not for single or small buys I'm afraid - I use 'Secol' but they only ship in batches of 25+ I think.
ChrisW
I use conservation by design that is the company that made the products Franks Autographs supplied. A bit cheaper of course as Nick had to make a living from trading. You need to set an account with them which is easy enough the first time you order you can email your card details over and they will bill on dispatch. Not as convenient as being able to buy them at a con but the fact its cheaper is a good trade off. They only sell the sleeves in batches of 50 but thats fine with me, my last order was for several hundred. As with Franks Autos you can by dual sleeve ones for photos which fit the size SM print in, and also sleeves in both normal size to hold 8x10s or an A4 or ones big enough to hold 12x16 images. Plus boxes too. Worth a look in my opinion. Edited December 23, 2015 by ChrisW

DullyEL
http://www.conservation-by-design.com/productdetails.aspx?id=419&itemno=PYSPOS0009 How do I order these?
Queen_Sindel
Apparently you need to contact the company first to check availability. At least this is what they state on the page under "inventory status."

Wrong Name
Hey guys, just to let you know, Conservation By Design put me through to their online shop when I emailed them about how to order. You can find it here: http://www.timecare.co.uk/timecare/home.php I've only just placed my first order with them, but the shop is straight forward enough. They are the exact same ones that Franks Autos used to supply. This is who they bought them off (I think). The only difference is they don't have Franks Autos details on them.
Tony1975
Just received my first order from Conservation By Design. Really happy and impressed with the fast delivery. They are as Wrong Name said exactly the same as Franks Autographs stock. Yes they are expensive but if you are serious about keeping your signed photos in mint condition then I highly recommend them. I made the mistake of using Toploader hard plastic sleeves before and ended up damaging one of my photos. It would be great if CBD could start selling their stock at SM events like Franks Autographs did. I am sure they would prove to be popular!
Mekare
Hi does anyone know what album Frank's used to sell as i need a new one and not sure what one is right. it was the grey one i used to buy. many thanks
gazznewbie
Shocked to hear Nick has passed away, always had a long chat with him when at events as been bumping into him for years, he was always nice and friendly and had time for all his customers. His autograph sleeves were best i've seen, and I bought loads. Never buy those hard plastic sleeves you see for sale at the shows. They should not be allowed to be sold, If you try and take your autographed pics out It is likely some of it would come off as the pen ink sticks to the sleeve. Thankfully Nick warned me of this ages ago, so I only had 1 damaged from this, the rest in sleeves he sold are all still perfect after having had some for years, My first event was Collectormania 7 or 8 ! RomeroSavini
Instead of starting a new thread I found a few threads linked back to this one. So may as well ask. Whats the best company for 8x10 autograph protection these days :-) as a few links above dont work anymore for me sadly. I want a beautiful folder full of them all, easuer said than done sadly finding such a beast.
Raylenth
I think the gist is that people haven't really found a reliable alternative. London Graphic Centre have a good selection of Archive quality boxes in a range of sizes and prices. http://www.londongraphics.co.uk/searchresults/Archive (not all listed here are Acid free so check the details is you decide to buy one) - most are acid free and some are chlorine free as well. They have packs of sleeves but only the one size that say they are ph neutral. they are out of stock at the moment though by the looks of it. RomeroSavini
Thanks Raylenth :-) hey I had hoped a year later someone may have found the perfect seller wanting all our cash :-D Will investigate the link thank you very much.
Raylenth
A quick search for 'archive quality sleeves' does bring up a few links so they are out there - linking a few for example, I haven't looked at the details closely so I'm not recommending these or anything. http://www.arrowfile.com/polyester-archival-refill-sleeves-deptrefipoly/ http://www.my-history.co.uk/acatalog/Full_Polypocket_And_Acid-Free_Card_Range.html https://www.details-express.co.uk/acatalog/Archival_Boxes.html https://www.details-express.co.uk/acatalog/Archival_sleeves.html https://www.secol.co.uk/products - this one looks like it's got a royal warrant!
