Shayson14
This is going to be hard to explain and probably come across moaning or sometrhing but im not. Id stil like some varity in there and when I say that I mean, for example we have 1 guest from The 100 ATM which is great, its current etc but also seems a little ramdon I would like to see MORE current tv shows / films with MORE than 1 guest it would make it worth while starting new things, cast photos etc. for example 120 TV & Film guest does sound a lot but when you look there are nearly 40 Star Wars guests alone, 11 BTTF, 11, GOT, 11 Dr Who, 5 Nightmare of Elm Street and 5 Power Rangers thats over half (80) of your guests gone right there and not much Variety. I believe there is a small variety but want more of it not just random ones. But i am greatful to meet the ones that Showmasters do get so please dont get me wrong. I just cant get over the fact nearly 40 Star Wars guest and for me I look and go Who, What, Why? I cant see them generating much money (i could be completey wrong) but say compared to trading in the 40 guests for even 1 or 2 BIG names. - my mind boggles. For me its not about the amount they get its who they get id rather have a convention of 30 guests but those 30 to be top notch and im not talking 30 guests like MJF or Bill Paxton because that would be unrealistic (for now) ;-) Yeah I understand. I was born in 2000, so I need more current stuff :)
loveamyadams
have to agree, if your not a Star Wars fan then a huge chunk of the guests are of no interest especially as most of them are only known for 'Star Wars' as walk on jobbies or minor roles.Doubt big 'Star Wars' fans haven't allready met them as most have been on the signing circuit for years. it would be nice to see some variety. I'd rather see one Mark Hamill than 20 stormtroop bodies Edited June 17, 2015 by loveamyadams

Guests from Star Wars, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Back to The Future, Arrow, Agents of Shield, Stargate, Star Trek, The Musketeers, Power Rangers. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles etc etc !
Xenomorph
I think this is around about the same number as last year (although I think there's more authors this time). If memory serves, there were actually around 130 movie/tv guests last time. Although it seems like a lot, not every guest is attending all three days and the Olympia is a bigger venue than the single Earl's Court hall they used last year. Crazyfools
I see five wrestlers or retired wrestlers in some cases, so guess it 208 guests.
TerraHawk
Doubt big 'Star Wars' fans haven't allready met them as most have been on the signing circuit for years. it would be nice to see some variety. I'd rather see one Mark Hamill than 20 stormtroop bodies Yes, in my nine years of serious collecting, I think there's maybe 5 Star Wars guests I've not met going this time, even then I wouldn't go especially for them. It's the same for Doctor Who. Star Wars will be 40 in two years, but that will probably be the last chance for a big reunion.
Iceman71
It was announced very early on that LFCC 2015 will be celebrating the 35 years of The Empire Strikes Back and it would be a big part of this years event. I think there is variety for everyone although no Battlestar Galactica guests (yet).
D4vem88
To be honest, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I only want to meet Ray Park from this years lineup. As said above, I'd rather one Mark Hamill than 20 stormtroopers.
Wolfie138
I hope SM will be nice to us this year and let us use Saturday Tickets on Friday... you mean "as well as", or "instead of"? because if you mean "as well as", i have an issue w/ that in that i paid for my Friday ticket, don't see why others should get in for free.

He means 'instead of' - the first time photoshoots were run on the Friday we allowed people with saturday tickets for a shoot to use them Friday instead as it was quiet and would ease the pressure on Saturday. Fridays have since continued to get busier however so allowing it this year could cause a problems for some Friday shoots!
Wolfie138
i thought the photo tickets were different to entrance tickets though? do they get escorted out once the Fri shoot is done?

It wasn't 'you can specifically come in to do this shoot' it was 'if you are here anyway we have space to fit you in today'

Wolfie138
well granted you could say 1/4 of the guest are from one thing, but in a lot of cases that one thing is only (no pun!) one thing on their resume. Sure, Bill's an "Aliens" guest, but he's been in what, 40 other things? to me he's a Near Dark guest, to someone else he's a Tombstone guest, etc etc. Now if there were a quarter of the guests who had ONLY played a stormtrooper or a hobbit or something, then i'd agree it would be a bit off-centred. Moderators DavidB Posted June 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 19, 2015 Correct. Some of the guests have careers spanning 3/4 decades! It's doing them a disservice to say they're only from one thing or whatever. Like Jonathan Pryce for example - you COULD call him a Game of Thrones guest, but he's so much more. Moderators DavidB Posted June 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 19, 2015 Those that are 'done to death' are by far the most popular fandoms, and are with every event. Variety is nice, but there's a lot of unproven shows that would not necessarily translate to a successful convention appearance. And it would be very risky to get 3 from an unproven show for example, so sometimes they'll test the water and see how it goes.
