Talks? Is that all?

Hi!

 

I've never been to any convention here in the UK so I honestly don't know what to expect.

I understand the Talks are just basically the guests talking about themselves/their work/experience/whatever, like an interview or something.

 

But is that it? Is there anything else happening? Workshops, competitions, anything?

 

I can't find any info about that and if the Talks are the only thing then it's a bit disappointing.

The talks are usually very interesting. They usually take the form of the audience asking questions with the guest answering them so they are as good and interesting as the questions asked.

@Raylenth I'm not saying the Talks are not interesting :) But not for everyone, as are about very specific fandoms.

 

@Queen_Sindel - yeah, more or less something like that. It's just hard to believe that the few Talks are the only thing that is happening during the whole weekend...

Well, the guests are also signing and doing photoshoots throughout the weekend, and there will be plenty of dealer stalls to browse as well.
