cropsy2008 320 Posted November 11, 2014 Starz have ordered 10 30 minute episodes starring Bruce with involvement from Raimi and Tapert. Its set 20 years after Army of Darkness. Would rather have had Evil Dead 4 but it should be fun. Groovy.

cropsy2008 320 Posted November 11, 2014 This is such good news. I have a really good feeling about this. With the more adult nature of starz this series should deliver on the gore aspect too. Can't wait. Hope its starz who get the upcoming Friday the 13th tv show.
Matthewman 495 Posted November 11, 2014 Heard this was confirmed last night. Still can't quite believe it's happening to be honest and that Bruce is starring. This series has so much potential and I'm looking forward to seeing what's become of old Ash. Can't help but think that if this series is a success we may get our Evil Dead 4.

Geekchic 230 Posted November 11, 2014 Very excited about this. I'm guessing the 20 years later is from the S-MART ending rather than the waking up in the future ending of ED3!?
andini 97 Posted November 11, 2014 It is amazing news!! 30 minute episodes sounds a little short for this type of show but fingers crossed they do it justice. I read that Raimi is directing the pilot episode.
Graphic_Delusions 504 Posted November 11, 2014 So I take it that the reboot sequel, the Army Of Darkness sequel, and the sequel that ties both together is not happening now? I'm happy to see that the series is going ahead, just wish Sam Raimi would direct the pilot or a few episodes like what Robert Rodriguez did for From Dusk Till Dawn.

I much prefer the S-MART ending. It will certainly lead to more possibilities and will be somewhat easier for the writers I imagine but I always quite liked the "I slept too long" ending. Evil Dead Apocalypse was always something I have wanted to see. Still, I'm delighted at this news all the same.
