Sometimes I wonder if SM are their own worst enemies...just looking through TODAY'S Metro and there is an ad for the show with both the high profile GOT guests who've cancelled still being advertised!

 

Ok there is the website, but not everyone will visit and there are bound to be people who attend on the day only to find out these guests have cancelled and lose it with staff on the day...

That could easily have been an ad that had no time to be re-written... it's unfortunate, but an easy mistake, especially since the cancellations were so recent.

That's exactly the problem - those ads do have a closing time that's often several weeks out. So if something happens like this time, no chance at all to fix it.

adds have to go in days before the show , its the way of things with printed ads they need time to get them printed ? its not the internet so we have to give the press the line up we have at the time we go to print.

 

nothing underhand nothing odd , we cannot even promote the last minute guests ether :-(

I was sent flyers to distribute for CMK and on the other side of the flyers there's an advertissment for Cardiff that still lists Jason Momoa as a guest. These things just don't always have the time to be re-printed. But not much that can be done about it so last minute, I'd imagine. Definitely not SM's fault.
