Advised Pre buying tickets for Saturday and other info about the show

Hi Everyone

Tickets for walk ups, buying on the day are looking fine at this time, but we are starting to recommend that for the Saturday only, people should look at buying in advance, as it can no longer be guaranteed that walk up tickets will be available all day long for the Saturday.

Sunday is looking fine its just the Saturday that maybe a little close so we are recommending buying in advance.

At London this year and Newcastle on the Saturday we did have to start to limit the sale to one in one out between 11.30am to around 3.00pm so to avoid this please look at purchasing tickets in advance.

Sunday walk ups do not seem to be an issue at this time at any of our events so you should be okay walking up and buying on the door but again please be aware that these events are getting busier now days and things may change from event to event.

We wanted to give you all this heads up so everyone understands that things are getting busier and its starting to get to a point where we now do recommend pre-buying to be 100% sure ,

On the day we will do our best to look after all your needs and get everyone in on time and so everything is running smoothly and safe.

There are still plenty of tickets available for all time entries, but as has happened over the last few events there are now many people turning up on the day to buy tickets so pre-buying is now recommend for 100% access without any stress or worry :-)

It's good the shows are so strong nowadays and that means we can bring in the bigger guests you are all wanting to see, but with this it means more fans attending so we want to look after you all, so we hope this gives you all the information you need for a great weekend.

A replaced, dog-chewed Sofa has saw to it that i have no money till payday (21st) so despite my intention to Cosplay this year at CM Glasgow, I find myself with no guaranteed ticket for the day and having to hope there are still gonna be tickets on the door, on the Saturday in particular.

So im a little worried that ive maybe gone to the effort to cosplay only to maybe not get in on the Saturday at all.

So...Cards on the table, are we really..really?..expecting the Saturday to be as busy as last years Saturday - where i got in paying at the door no problem?

With not so many "high-profile guests", if you like, attending this year as did last year, its my hope that, while busy, ill still be able to get in on the door on the day this time too.

Otherwise, im gonna be Deathstroke in Braehead, with nothing to do.

Which will be...odd, to say the least.
Poor planning on my part I guess, but there you go...

Personally I would accept this for what it is. A disclaimer for any future complaints referring to queues and non entry. I'm sure if you arrive early enough you will be fine. But with anything if you roll the die you accept the odds.

If you can try for early entry on the door.

These events have been getting more and more popular. I've been attending them for 10+ years and they have soared in popularity! This was MASSIVE last year on the Saturday, it was still crazy busy. I also disagree about the guests- there are SO many more this year and there is more of an appeal to the general public/teeny boppers.

Saying that, I think I might avoid the Saturday because it was pretty hell-ish last year and go there on the Sunday instead.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, even at it's busiest last year most did still get in and got an auto (after a long wait) from however they were most interested in seeing. However if your looking to get quite a few autos as well as get the best picks from the stalls and go to the talks etc, it is a no brainier just turn up nice an early before the doors open and you will be fine!

i have early bird tickets for both days. what time to braehead shopping centres doors actually open? ie. will i be queueing outside if i get there earlier than 9 or do they open the main doors a bit earlier than the shops open? i can't find any opening times on google, beside the opening times on intu which don't make any sense.

I'm not too sure although I do remember sitting having my breakfast in the food court area before 9 waiting on the doors opening.

ah right, so hopefully they open up earlier then. did you buy breakfast there or bring it with you?

i was just on the filling stations website but they don't open until 9. haven't had a filling station breakfast in years.

ah yesss. McDonald's website say they open at 8am so the place must be open by then! that's good then, don't' mind heading over earlier now then :D ordered early bird but there's nothing i massively want to be at until 12pm but i did kind of want to get VTs for a few autos. but if i don't have to wait outside for early bird i guess i can go in, get my VTs and either head out for breakfast, or stalk the stands and stuff before it gets busy.

Can you buy early bird tickets at the door?

As stated above you can buy early tickets at the door. But you may be waiting to be let in if you happen to arrive at a very busy time.

I'm thinking about bringing along my daughter with me tomorrow. I have an early bird ticket and was wondering if I can pay for her at the door and if so, how much are the kids early bird tickets. She's 5.

Cheers.

Yes, you can buy her a ticket - just take into account what SM have posted please. There is no special child's price for Early Birds.
