Starbuck17
Hello, this is a bit of a weird question but I need to know from people who have been to LFCC before how long you have to queue outside before you are let into the venue? I have early bird tickets and don't mind queueing but on Monday I had an accident at work and burnt my hand and arm. I am not allowed to get the dressing wet and currrently the weather forecast for the weekend is pretty awful. I am struggling to keep it dry for five minutes in the shower so if it is pouring down with rain on the weekend and I have to wait some time I don't think I will keep it dry. Thanks in advance for any replies.
Pod0509
Well it depends when you get there. Last year I think we got there about 8.30 and there was a big queue going around the building. Once they opened the doors the queue moved quickly. But still its a long time waiting. If it does rain. Can you not fit a rain jacket over the dressing. Hope it gets better soon. Looks nasty Edited July 9, 2014 by Pod0509

Looks nasty I can put a raincoat over it but I am not sure it is worth the risk. I also want to make sure I am there in good time as I don't want to miss anything. This is my first and possibly only convention I want to make the most of it. But looks like I will have to come late if it's raining : (

Spacecadet is here
Cover it with a carrier bag and then take it off once inside?
Pod0509
Well around earls court there are some bits that you can hide from the rain if it does but that would really rely on be allowed to be there and not queue jump. Maybe email show masters or just ask nicely on the day. Are you coming on your own if not could you wait under cover until you friend reaches the start of the queue then go in with them.
Starbuck17
I could cover it with something but there is always that chance that something will go wrong and the bag will rip or something. I am going alone so no one to help me. Just going to hope for no rain!
Pod0509
Which days are you going? Myself and my wife will be there sat and Sunday. We can meet up if you want in the morning. Are you staying close by?
defender05
There is an underground car park at Earls Court which in a worst case you could avoid the rain in and then go in. The escalators and lift come out right near the entrance.
Dace321
If you turn up just after 9 you'll go straight in and still be in plenty of time to see things but it depends on what you want to do once inside and as for keeping it dry, black bin bag or two and tape it up, works fine for me ,but get some thicker ones !
GreenScar93
The weather for the weekend is extremely warm, not terrible atall?
Starbuck17
There is a weather warning for rain in London for Friday and the met office are currently saying heavy rain showers on Sunday. It is also meant to be hot. They may be wrong and the weather may be balmy but I have to be prepaired for it to rain because I cannot risk getting my arm wet.
