Quoasis
I'm not plugging this site, have nothing to do with it, but they have tonnes of cool art prints which I'm currently trawling through. Gonna bag me something for Stan to sign and something Breaking Bad themed for Giancarlo Esposito. http://www.redbubble.com/shop/marvel+photographic-prints?ref=explore_product_refinement
bonniesrg
I have a NM copy of Amazing Spider-man 300 that I will ask him to sign. It's my favourite issue because it includes my 2 favourite characters, so that makes sense to me. From past experience, do they have anyone from CGC who can confirm the signatures? I'd love to get it signed then slabbed. I would say yes you will be able to get your comic CGCd. A word of warning to those bringing own pictures, there are (as mentioned ) stock photos available. Stan will not sign any non authorised licensed photos, I have seen it 1st hand where people have Qd with a non authorised licensed picture only told turned away. So dont waste your money. The guy who runs Stans signing pretty much knows the dodgy pictures. Do these stock photo's he brings with him include his cameo's in various Marvel movies? Kuato_Lives
I collect graphic novels rather than comics, so I'll probably get him to sign the first graphic novel I ever got when I was a kid. Spiderman's Greatest Team Ups
Banished_From_Rohan
Weird I know, but probably his "recipe" for a chocolate milkshake in my Celebrities cookbook! It's probably the only chance I'll get...
Zahariel
Weird I know, but probably his "recipe" for a chocolate milkshake in my Celebrities cookbook! It's probably the only chance I'll get... That should bring a smile to his face - you have actually tried it, right... cause he's sure to ask if you like it. GoldenGreen
Thinking about it as well, my older son has a book , well if you can call it that called "The Marvel Vault" we got him a few years ago which traces the history of Marvel comics and includes quite a few interesting facsimile documents, would be kind of cool to get Stan to sign that as well as he has had so much of an impact on the history of Marvel ! The problem in particular with Stan will be there is just too much to get signed !
Fitzlock
I'm hoping to get my hands on one of the huge Marvel Omnibuses, like Mighty Thor Vol.1, X-Men Vol.1 etc to get signed as that's where you can see his impact the most. Those are expensive and hard to come by books, though they're far cheaper than buying one of the individual issues (Stan only wrote issues #1 - 19 of X-Men, for example). In addition to that, I'd feel obligated to pay for any comic I had signed to be CGC slabbed and that's another large amount of money on top. He did write one of the short stories in the recent X-Men Gold one-shot for the 50 year anniversary of X-Men, however, so that's an option and for anyone else umming and arring you should be able to find a copy of that at your local comic book store without too much trouble. You can find all his credits on comicbookdb.com, though keep in mind a lot of those will be just credits as Editor and not necessarily Writer. I was also considering buying something like a Captain America shield replica and getting as many Marvel signatures on it as possible going forward. Kind of like how I've seen people getting loads of Star Wars signatures on Stormtrooper helmets or Star Trek autographs on a bat'leth. I'll probably get a photo with him and have that signed as well. Shame he won't be personalizing though!
Pod0509
I was talking to some friends the other day about this and I had the idea of getting a restraining order printed up and getting Stan Lee to sign that. I guess I might have to have a word with whoever is running the signing because I am sure he would not sign a piece of paper with lots of legal stuff on it without knowing what it is. But as a TBBT fan I think it would be a cool thing to have signed.
LSM
Would Showmasters mind adding a comment as regards to what Stan will or will not be signing please? I have a print from his cameo on The Simpsons and now have concerns that this is going to be refused?

Diabolik
A word of warning to those bringing own pictures, there are (as mentioned ) stock photos available. The guy who runs Stans signing pretty much knows the dodgy pictures. Hi Alpha22, you seem pretty knowledgeable about this, so I wonder if you can help: I have a large comic cover reproduction of Iron Man on a hardboard, a bit like the Dc comic covers commonly available on canvasses ( bought it from a high street chain that specialises in designer brands at up to 60% less!). There is a manufacturer on the bottom corner and from what I can tell it does appear to be licensed. Is this the sort of thing that Stan Lee would sign or am I likely to be sent away disappointed? My main concern is that I've seen Stan Lee signed limited edition examples of the sort of item I have in small art galleries going for in excess of £500, so have concerns that they might not be signed on this basis, ie interfering with the ltd edition arrangements Stan Lee entered into with the galleries etc. I wondered if you might be able to give an opinion on this, (maybe you saw this sort of item getting signed without any problem?) cheers. As another poster has mentioned it would be really helpful if Showmasters can confirm items that definitely won't be signed, like they do for when the boxers attend. Many thanks

only_jay
Never really had chance to sit and read the comics he has done but think it would be better to get him to sign a comic rather than the films he has had a cameo in. Anyone recommend any Spiderman, Captain Anerica or Hulk comics? Thanks in advance!

MrsEllacott
As long as it says Marvel, it will be ok to get signed right? Basically they have released a collection of books from Marvel featuring up to 4 previously released comics and we were thinking we could get that signed. We brought the one of the books today and it has the original Avengers comic in it, which was written by Stan himself.

bunny-summers
I also have a question - will Stan sign fans own art work? I know I won't be able to find what I really want and planned on asking him to sign my own art as he created one of my favourite X-men characters. Would he sign something like that? If not I will have to try and find an alternative.
