what are you looking forward to this year, help us to give you more at

I know that running these shows aren't easy and I wasn't criticising or looking for answers, just giving my situation. I do hope the group photos you mentioned being sold on the day are not the ones I suggested - since none were announced I had no option but to order solo shoots with the guests...

I would love to see larger Cast attendence.

-Much like over in the US.

I know this singles out alot of attendees/audience, but it would be great to have a panel/talk along with signing/photos with one particular cast of a popular show. (I know you guys have seperate cons for this kind of thing, but these could work really well at Key events like LFCC)

I would love to see more Cast members of the following shows:

  • The Walking Dead
  • Breaking Bad
  • Dexter
  • House MD
  • How I met your Mother

etc...

The problem with this will always be because we're in the UK.

Comparing to SDCC for example - they can have entire casts who only do panels because it's not far for them to travel. It's just not realistic here. Especially for something like House or HIMYM, shows that aren't typical at 'signing events'. It's all promo appearances.

Obviously I'd love to see them but it's never going to be possible financially to do it quite the same.

I'm super excited now! Love the prop shoots, love having more than one guest in a photo (Shanks/Tapping for me!), and really love the instant photos - makes a huge difference.

I agree with everyone about the seating, and I'd really like to get rid of the awful wrist bands for the Gold Passes. Would much prefer a photo ID pass in a lanyard so I am not forced to wear it all weekend or be creative with removing it and reattaching it......

I think you guys have out done yourselves this year! I love the idea of the silent auction and the GoT commentary and Mortal Instruments panel. Things like this just add different dimensions to the event and make it more than just a meet and greet signing event (nothing wrong with that either btw) and that is always a good thing! As a Game of Thrones and Stargate fan I am beyond excited about this weekend! I love the prop displays too and I'm really pleased about the Blade Runner announcement. Also keep the cars etc coming!

I would love the option of more evening events as an added extra, like the GOT commentary or a party (like you did last year at Collectormania MK) I know this would involve another space like a hotel but we can dream!

Personally I am loving the instant print at photo shoots, it makes not only the waiting at the end of the day for it to come back from the printers disappear but those 'wish i'd seen it so it could be retaken ' shots be sorted!

I wouldn't mind seeing shorter talks, let's say 15-20 minutes on a smaller stage with some of the less busier guests. There are some great guests attending that I would love to see have a talk on a smaller stage like Courtney Gains and Adrienne Barbeau.

on a lighter note, maybe next time when booking dates try to avoid Wimbledon finals? Just that it doubled the normal price of the hotels, which means less for autos and photos:(

The GoT screening and commentary obviously ^^

And the Walking Dead talk with Norman and Sarah... and photoshoot with Norman ^^

And... everything... since it is my first!

I love how the event is kinda specialised to Walking Dead and GOT this year, kinda reminds me of the earlier CM events where each event focused on a different fandom. I remember seeing crew tshirts with cool quotes on them relating to the fandom. However I do think that the other guests don't really encourage fans who may not be fans of WD or GOT like myself. There are no guests from hobbit/lotr or HP and alot of the Dr Who, SW and ST guests are repeats. I know you can't cover everything but I do think more variety to support the main fandoms would be nice.

I somewhat agree but Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead are two of the biggest properties at the moment so it makes good business sense for SM and the fans. The hobbit guests are appearing at othe SM events later this year as it would be impossible to get them the now due to filming the now.

I'm really looking forward to meeting & having a photo with the lovely Louise Jameson (I hear she's wonderful with the fans & I love classic Doctor Who,she was always one of my fave companions) seeing The UK Ghostbusters again & finally seeing and having pics with Ecto 1 (been waiting for this moment for ages, been a huge Ghostbusters fan ever since 1987) & generally having photos with cosplayers & checking out the merchandise stalls

For the next few hours I'll me mostly looking forward to seeing a man in red walking down my street with large bags slung over his shoulders, walk down my path and ring my doorbell.... :firedevil: But after that, just getting to the event and in there with you fine people...

EDIT - OMG...OMG.... Literally just this second the postie has delivered everything...
