Kudos to all of you for such great cosplay

Does anyone know if the SneakyZebra people will be there again filming, loved their video from the Summer LFCC it really capture the fun, excitement and great costumes.

My two boys absolutely love the video, you wouldn't believe how many times we have watched it and it has really got them interested , so much so they disappear regularly to their dressing up basket and make up all sorts of weird and wacky costumes and want me to film their own versions ! By the way they are only 3 and 6 so expect to see them in full Cosplay action in the not too distant future !!!

As far as im aware sneaky are tryng to get some hits on their most recent video in order to claim a sponsorship, if they dont get enough views they have stated they wont be able to make it to london, due to funds but ive told them i would pay for their travel costs as i wanna be in that video with my grinch costume, so hopefully one way or other, they will be there :)

Will probably be going as GLaDOS from Portal to this expo! I hope SneakyZebra are there, I love their videos and would love to be involved xD :)

Here is my costume!

Any more news on whether SneakyZebra will be on hand to film the day ?

yes, i can say for a fact that the Sneaky Zebra boys will be there... they're friends on fb of mine, and think they're planning a lot of fun for lfcc :)

but on topic, i'll be there as Jareth again :D

Hey All,

Thanks for the feedback and the heads up. We will be there filming both days so come introduce yourselves.

Looking forward to an awesome weekend!

As SgtBilko said, I do work with facepaint/prosthetics/theatrical makeup etc quite a bit (its a passion of mine and a lot of costumes require me to do so), but I can't say I have ever attempted Rumpleteazer! I am almost tempted to say I can give you a hand, but I have never done any form of CATS makeup- so that makes me a little nervous. What type of face paint/makeup are you using and what are you using to apply it with? Which bits are you struggling on? I will be there both days (in makeup myself!), but again, I have to admit I have not painted CATS before. Let me know what you need help with and if I can, I will gladly give you a hand. :)

I'm using this as a reference, pretty much just copying what's there. I'm just using ordinary Snazaroo face paint and I have face paint sponges and a variety of brushes. I'm actually better at the details, though I'm still not great at those - but my worst thing is the base orange and white.

I've just had another test run and it looks like one of the Starlight Express makeups. I'm the most angular cat in the world right now :P

First of all, sorry for the delay in replying! I've been rushing around preparing the last few days!

That was not the same reference I was looking at, she had a stripe in mine- down the middle of her face and quite a bit of shading from yellowish colours, to oranges, to fiery oranges/near red (second image on google images, for me!). Anyway! For that reference, are you padding the white on with a sponge? (I have to admit, I don't use Snazaroo because it does not work on my skin that well and I am not too fond of it. Most grease paint, if not all, doesn't work for me. >_<; ). Padding it on should help to break it up more and make it less 'solid' looking. It will be more of a natural/smooth transition between the white and orange. I unfortunately, don't have her colours in any of my makeup sets, as I usually specialise in Elphaba and things of the like, etc (lol, a green cat, anyone?), otherwise I would offer to bring the whole lot down for you. I have no idea how the setting spray will sit on top of Snazaroo either (as the stuff I use is for Kryolan), or how the primer (to stop it from staining your skin) will be underneath- otherwise I would offer to bring those too! I can however bring the waterproofing powder if you don't have any, which will help to keep it all in place. If you want to try the other stuff too (I will warn you, the setting spray is strong), I would be willing to bring them along! :)

For the details, use fine brushes- sometimes I swap to powders to add shading (MAC eyeshadows work well, as they are very pigmented and hold their colour well). As for the fur details around the eyes on your reference, try not to use too much colour on the brush and flick light and fast- so it fades into the colour behind and is not too bold. If I get time, I will have a go whacking up her makeup in the not-so-catlike sets I have, to see how I fair and if I can give any more advise. I am willing to try and help you out on the day if you would like, but again, I have not done any form of CATS makeup- nor do I have much experience with those colours or Snazaroo.

I will be there both days, dressed as Morticia Addams on the Saturday and battle Padme Amidala on the Sunday (if I can teach my friends how to do prosthetics, I should have the slashes on me- considering they will be on my back, I can't do them myself this time LOL). We will be there all day too. :) From the morning, around 11- if not earlier. So if you need me and see me, come on over! I promise we don't bite. ;) (I'll pack my powder at least and then the rest, if you would like to try it :) They just help to keep your makeup in place and not smudge for a longer period of time- but again, I have no idea how well they will work with Snazaroo).

I went as Ada Wong from Resident Evil 6 on Saturday ((was carrying a black crossbow)) if anyone has any photos of me, may I see them, please :)? Thank you.

Also everyone's cosplays that I saw were amazing, good job guys :D. I loved the Slender Man one, the Predator, the other Ada Wong and Wesker, the Doctor Horribles that I saw ((I saw 2)) Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, the Spiderman and Doc Oc and so on and such fourth.

Very well played, all the Iconic Legion boys and girls :)

Well done to Matt Holden for marshalling the troops for the Who cosplay photoshoot :)

Also, does anyone know what that really tall troll-ish thing was, on Sunday?

I had a extremely good time on Sunday (mostly due to the venue not being overcrowded like usual). But did anyone take any pictures of me in my Doctor Who Tenth Doctor spacesuit? A few people did on Sunday and would love to see the results!

I spent seven and a half hours straight up on stilts for slendy on saturday. This was a bad idea! :D I was too knackered to do sunday :(

Lesson learned, next time I'll take breaks!

You were great and made me giggle loads when you came over and just stood there staring at me, while I was staring back :D. Also I agree, i was walking around 8 hours straight on 3/4 inche heels=ouch. I ached so much the next day.

More Cosplayers there than ever before and thanks to all of you for creating such a great atmosphere. My son loves getting his photos with you and so many of you must have spent hours, if not days getting your costumes together.

The Olympics had the Gamesmakers and LFCC has the Cosplayers !

There were so many great outfits, but a couple of our favourites were:

- The Weeping Angels

- Mysterio

Hahaha true, ok erm it was by the glass entrance doors (just up the steps to get into the main hall). I was dressed up as Ada Wong, short black bobbed wig, red satin shirt, leather pants, black belt with two pouches on it, black knee high heeled boots and I was holding a black crossbow? I think I also burst out laughing in your face when you leant in to stare at me LOL. apologies for that btw :).

Some great cosplay as always, particularly the Cinderella/evil stepmother/ugly sisters combo, Doc Ock, Batman, Jareth and Sarah, the Weeping Angels and that really scary tall thing with the long clawed arms on Sunday. Also, my apologies if I inadvertently photobombed one of the shots on Sunday - I am normally very careful to avoid getting in the way, but was on another planet at that particular moment and came back just as I'd finished walking in front of a whole group of people. *blush*
