Pub near hotel?

Hello all,

I know it's last minute but I've not been to this hotel before or really to Birmingham at all.

 

I'm wondering if there is the equivalent of that pub that's round the corner of the raddison at heathrow?

 

It's not that I mind paying for 'well priced' food and drink in the hotel (ok I do - it takes away from stargate merch money!), but I do like a good hearty pub dinner :)

There's a Wetherspoons in the NEC although it does close early. I think there's another one at the airport as well which will probably be open until a lot later

there are some places all with a nice drive away. but it is like being in the middle of no where.

There's a Wetherspoons at the Airport called The Dragonfly, it's open from 4am to 10pm. Google Maps says its 1.9 miles but you'd cut through the NEC & Train Station so it's more like 1.2 miles.

 

There's also a pub called The Little Owl that's not in the airport and it's roughly a mile away, it's open from 12pm and closes at 11pm Fri & Sat and at 10:30pm on Sunday.

The pub in the NEC is not always open at the weekend. I think it depends on what events are on there that day.

Hope you didn't eat at the Wetherspoons as the reputation is not good! We when to the airport and ate at Frankie and Bennys was lovely meal!
