spocks-brain
Any stars from the Golden era of Hollywood - esp Lauren Bacall or Doris Day European film stars - Brigitte Bardot would be popular, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, Gina Lollobrigida, Anita Ekberg, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Franco Nero a Hitchcock ladies theme - Kim Novak (Vertigo has recently moved up to number one film of all time on Sight and Sounds list), Eva Marie Saint (my main reason for meeting Martin Landau at Autographica 2012 was because he was in North by Northwest so it would be good to meet another star from that classic) Vera Miles - I don't think we've ever had a Psycho guest at a show Joan Fontaine - Rebecca is still such a great classic and of course an Oscar winner for Suspicion and a return visit from Tippi Hedren, met her twice but still got lots of things I'd like to get signed a David Lean theme - Julie Christie, Peter O'Toole, Omar Sharif, Sir Tom Courtenay some of the stars of the all time family classic films would be great guests. The films that always get shown at Christmas, New Year, Easter etc - Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Sound of Music, Doctor Dolittle - these films always will be popular. Dick Van Dyke would be very popular as of course he's in two of those, Mary Poppins and Chitty Glynis Johns and Karen Dotrice (Mary Poppins) Sally Ann Howes, Anna Quayle, Adrian Hall, Heather Ripley (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) Samantha Eggar, William Dix, Geoffrey Holder (Doctor Dolittle) and any of the surviving cast of Sound of Music Space guests - Gene Cernan, Alan Bean, Jim Lovell. And if this time we could have some Russian guests again I'd like to see Alexei Leonov, Valeri Kubasov, and Valentina Tereshkova. a return visit from Helen Sharman would also be good, and I'd love to see Gene Kranz do his first Autographica British entertainment stars - Kenn Dodd, Ronnie Corbett, Sir Bruce Forsyth, Jimmy Tarbuck, Kenny Lynch, June Whitfield, Frank Thornton, Nicholas Parsons British comedy writing legends - Ray Galton and Alan Simpson, Jimmy Perry - I'm sure most people have got DVDs they'd like signed by those three an Avengers theme - Brian Clemens, Dame Diana Rigg, Honor Blackman, Linda Thorson 1960s theme - art/photography - Sir Peter Blake, David Bailey models - Twiggy, Jean Shrimpton fashion - Mary Quant James Bond - Sir Ken Adam, Guy Hamilton, Lewis Gilbert, and return visits from John Glen and the great Clifton James. And obviously like most collectors I'd love to see Sir Roger Moore and Sir Christopher Lee at any show we never get many music guests at shows, some who may want to appear - Noddy Holder, Mick Taylor, Glen Matlock, Tommy Steele, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown, Gerry Marsden, and a return visit from Pete Best WW2 - any Battle of Britain pilots (German or British), George Johnny Johnson is always a pleasure to meet sport - Sir Roger Bannister would fit in perfectly at Autographica, a British icon and part of history Sir Jackie Stewart Sir Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks would be good again Sir Tom Finney - one of the greatest icons of English football, he's never been at a signing show Lester Piggott - great guest but he hasn't done Autographica yet US comedy legends - Gene Wilder, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Sid Caesar, Jerry Lewis Luise Rainer - the first actress to win back to back Oscars in 1936 and 1937. She's 103 now but she appeared at the BFI in 2010 to mark her 100th and signed autographs. I think she lives in London. and the actress who spoke the first line ever in a horror film, Carla Laemmle, who played the coach passenger in Dracula (1931). She's also 103 years old and amazingly still appears at signing shows in the US, including some upcoming ones in 2013. If shes well enough to travel she would be great to meet.

descartes
Professor Brian Cox would perfetly combine the role of lecturer and signer. He has already been signed up before he will be joining Astronauts and other distinguished scientists, An advantage for Autographica would be in his fees, particularly travel. Journey would only be from Sheffield to Birmingham.
Tolkienerd
-- Get's on Knees -- Please try to rebook Yaphet Kotto - I looked forward to meeting him all of last year and it was a huge disappointment when he was unable to attend. You've done such a great job in bringing guests to your shows from the original Alien film and there are just a few more of these guys to go, although I appreciate that the chances of getting Harry Dean Stanton are nil (despite him being in a few films recently, including Avengers) and the chances of Ian Holm are getting fewer as time rolls on.

Yeah HDS is 86 now. Was suprised Ian Holm is 81! Didn't think he was that old for some reason. Both of them (and YK) would be very welcome!!
