Zahariel
This will by my first time to both Earl's court and LFCC - Will be doing all 3 days and was wondering if any veterans can recommend a good place to stay close by?
enty
The Ibis is where we usually stay and its right across the road
dwarfbabe
How much do you want to spend? The Ibis is great but is currently averaging £99 per room per night for the LFCC dates. And that doesn't include breakfast. This might help. http://www.eco.co.uk/p/accommodation/
Zahariel
Thanks for the info - looking at the IBIS now. Was also think about the travel lodge in Fulham - bit of a longer walk then the IBIS but it is available for £32 a night...
Bethelanna
We are planning on staying in the Earls Court YHA (students... ) Can anyone confirm that it's not too far away from the exhibition site?
Queen_Sindel
What's your definition of "not too far"? It's not in my book, but others may not be that happy about it.
Bethelanna
I don't mind like a ten minute walk but i don't want to be insanely far away
buffy2k
We booked the ibis back in the summer, they used to hold Buffy cons there "back in the day" when it was called the Paragon so we wanted to take a trip down memory lane was £99 i think inc breakfast. We went there 2 years ago to check out the bar upstairs which is really nice & hasn't changed a bit so if anyone wants to come for a drink in the evening after the event we'll be in there its open till past 1ish i think. As far as i know you can go for a drink without staying there. We tried going to one of the smaller hotels you can find bit further away but they were all more expensive for a pokey little room so this year i'd rather spend the same money and get a decent room with a bar! Squirtchy
I still need to book my hotel actually, better to do it sooner or later, I don't mind the short walk so don't mind booking a hotel which is slightly away for cheaper, the less money you spend on hotels, the more you can spend on autographs
mrsvalajackson910
Thank you Buffy2k that is what i have been looking for low rate hotel which is not far from LFCC exbition hall and i'm hoping it will be good as Chevron7.9 Me & my sister met Michael shanks & bill Dow & Patrick Gilmore & we great time so i'm looking for more the same
buffy2k
no problem, i think its a good hotel and a stones throw from the venue, the smaller hotels in the area are just as expensive for less value, see you there.
dreamsphere3
myself and my convention buddy stay in either Sara hotel, which is right behind the earls court. or the mowbray, which is nicer as it has its own bar. the sara is more of a simple place, small but clean rooms, no bar but you'll be so tired anyways all you want at the end of the day is a hot shower and a bed lol. Zahariel
That does sound good - £200 cheaper then mine, though its non refundable. Sounds good to me - £200 is £200... Just means I have more to blow at the event... 13 min walk - nice and close. EDIT - Looks like you can get cancellation insurance for £1.50... I'll cancel my previous and book here, thanks for the headsup
