I'm still deciding on my second day costume, I'm thinking of doing an Alex DeLarge costume, something not quite as unforgiving on my skin after an entire day coated in make-up from the saturday's costume. The ails of comic Joker.

alright, so I'm trying to get a biiig bioware group together for LFCC- Mass Effect Saturday and Dragonage sunday, and I know a few people are in but I've forgotten who is and dressing as whom, SO- who's in? I'll be Samara on Saturday and Isabela on Sunday.

I will definitely be on the lookout for the Mass Effect cosplayers in that case. The series is one of my favourites. :)

Well so far there is myself as Samara and a friend as Garrus, if anyone else would like to join in please do >.<

as far as makeup goes, I feel you. Hence why I'm doing Isabela on sunday XD

If you're still up for people joining in with the Mass Effect cosplay, I was thinking about coming as Tali!

(This is my first con, and my first attempt at cosplaying so i'm kinda nervous...so glad everyone on these forums seem lovely!)

I think I might do Movie Enid from Ghost World on Sunday. I already have the raptor shirt, similar hair and wear glasses. I'm hoping the dress I got on eBay will become the skirt (if it fits and looks ok). Or else I could do what I normally do for her outfit and wear my shorts that are a similar colouring/pattern to her skirt. I just cba with any wigs or anything this time, heh, and doubt i'll get customised Juliet (Lollipop Chainsaw) or The Kid (Bastion) done in time, might do them if I go to Eurogamer in September :-)

Alison from The Breakfast Club on Saturday :)

Expect some big announcements to come as we put together the Cosplay Zone and stage lineup for this year's LFCC. Here's a sneak preview of what is in store!

We Want to Involve You More! Following the massive-popularity of the impromptu Doctor-Who photoshoot at EMS, we can confirm that as well that the 2nd stage between the times of 4pm to 5pm on both days (just after the Masquerade) shall be given over for Cosplay Group Photoshoots on stage. We will be aiming to cover multiple-themes and we would like to invite potential group organisers to speak to us and book a slot (we'll give you up to half an hour). So, drop us an email on info@animeleague.com and get involved!

Panels and Talks Return - Expect the usual panels and talks to take place at this year's show. Last year we saw talks on Steampunk, Wigs, Props, Stage-Performances, and much more besides.

Bigger and Better - Cosplay Masquerade, Talent Show, Chillout, Cosplay Photography area, themed-days and so much more as cosplay at LFCC returns in full-swing!

Meetups & Socialising - We shall be running a fully-organised Meetups Zone just outside the venue, which we invite groups to get involved in. There is no need to book any timeslots, simply come along and have fun with your friends. Another great way to meet fellow cosplayers.

If you'd like your meetup to be promoted on the LFCC website, please email info@animeleague.com and we'll speak to Showmasters to get it added for you.

I'm going as Borg (7 of 9) on Saturday and planning on doing pocahontas on Sunday. Not sure if I'm going to dress up on Friday but if I do I'll be doing my Oerba Yun Fang.

So excited- the borg costume is a lot of work- so far I have half the costume made and half the prosthetics sculpted- hope it turns out right!

Thanks for getting in touch with us, have just received your email. I've emailed you back, but can confirm we can give you the 4:40pm to 5pm slot on stage.

If anyone else has any shoot plans then please do get in touch. We have a maximum of six slots, so spaces are limited and it will be first-come first-served!

You shouldn't be too worried. I'm 24 so I'm not gonna find it creepy at all if you came over and ask for a pic. Seriously though as long as your not one of the guys who sees someone dressed skantly clad and just asks for a pic to get a bum grope your all good. Loads of guys did that to me at another event in Manchester last year. They got death glares and warnings.

Yeah I think I speak for most cosplayers when I say we are used to people of all ages, from kids to the more mature person lol, coming up and asking for a pic eithe rof us or with us.

So dont worry :D Ask whoever you want for a pic. We dont bite :P

About the photo issue, i would love to pose for pictures with anyone as long as they are respectful of me and don't get overly touchy. more so this year i do not want people touching any of my skin or face because it will all be painted grey and have cardassian prosthetic, they are really delicate and can be easily taken off. Alot of these costumes cost alot of money so people can get touchy if people touch the costumes or pull them out of place and such.

make you sure you have permission to do it, that's a big yes! i always find it weird that people who go through the amount of trouble to dress up end up not wanting photographs taken.

other wise, its all good. if you see me, cardassian female, or dressed as the fourth doctor, then take as many pictures as you like, i love the camera!!

Thank you all for your replies. You Cosplay people are a nice bunch. :P

Just before Christmas a bunch of my mates and I went to Rochester for the Dickens festival (they have two per year) which has various people in Dickensian costumes. I got talking to one lovely old lady on the train trip there who was going dressed in period costume, which is really impractical on modern trains.

She told me if I go to the festival this summer I should dress up as Mr Bumble. Hmmm! No typecasting there because I am fat, balding and getting on a bit.
