For those who want their own specific 10x8s

Recommended Posts

I've just come up with an idea. If you see a picture on the Internet that you like save it and then if you have the means transfer it from your hard drive to your camera/phone memory card and then take it to a Kodak Kiosk in Boots or somewhere and you can print off a 10x8 sized photo there for £2.99 per picture. Just make sure the picture you save is large enough so it doesn't come out pixelated. I hope this helps anyone who was after their own 10x8s to bring.

I've been doing that for years. It helps when you're a fan of the guest's appearance in something other than their better known roles, e.g. Derek Jacobi in Frasier.

I don't personally as of this time have any specific pictures I want a guest to sign, but in case that happens what would be the appropriate sizing for a picture on the computer to turn in for an 10x8?

Ive considered doing this before but was worried about copyright or getting challenged to prove it was my image. Was I worrying for nothing? Will do this in future if people havent had problems in this way

I often ask myself that.

Sorry I thought you was a website that specialised in resizing photos! I have been trying to find somewhere to get an aliens pic resized.

i use photobox online sometimes with a little help from minkyknights with resizing them first

Who/what is minkyknights?

I often ask myself that.

Some say his skin has the texture of a dolphin's, and that wherever you are in the world, if you tune your radio to 88.4, you can actually hear his thoughts... all we know is, he's called MinkyKnights

Bonusprint, dscolourlabs all vary in their online cheapness but my own personal provider of choice is snapfish.

Love their stuff.

Agreed.

I use snapfish mostly/for smaller orders, though sometimes I use dscolourlabs for large orders as they work out cheaper for bulk.

However, snapfish I tend to find easiest for resizing to fit a certain size (such as 8x10) and love how they actually tell you what the quality is going to be like roughly, such as if you have a tiny pic, but if you want it blown up in size, they'll say its likely to be a bad quality image etc.

I actually did a bulk order through dscolourlabs last week, BUT I uploaded the lot to snapmad first to see which ones would be best at what sizes and prices etc..

I've got 22 10" by 8" photos signed from people that have appeared in NYPD Blue, every photo done by myself as screen captures ( can not ever recall a guest having an NYPD Blue photo available as part of their selection ). Mostly the guests are amazed, some take photos of the photo and in one case at an event the guest insisted I get another and send it to him. Get mine printed at a local photostore who overcharge but do a good job,

Has anyone got any experience of getting photos printed out at Boots, Jessops or Snappy Snaps in the high street? I just wondered what they are like in case of copyright, as I think thats going to be my only chance to get a couple of photos printed at this late a stage.
